I thought about something I heard in a dream I had so many years ago.
What is love, if it's not a burning hole in your heart. Not a source of power that has been created over the years, or a flame that doesn't lose it's heat. Even a star that doesn't lose it's light. What is love, if it's not something you would cry over, when that burning desire, decided to disappear forever. If the thought of losing or not fighting for this desire to stay in your heart, then why bother following it, why try and go back and fight for all you have with all the strength you have left. If you don't, then whatever love was, would've been pointless.....
I looked up to find the door of the school being only a couple of feet infront of me. It was quiet, no commotion going on anywhere that my eyes could see. How long have I been gone? I walked up to the doors, and pulled one open. Walking inside Hyperion and Apollo were in the foiye, arguing amongst eachother.
"They can't be doing this not today. A lunar eclipse is supposed to take place, where all the Gods, Goddesses and Titans are at their strongest point." Apollo flailed his arms everywhere. Hyperion shook his head and looked in my direction.
"Callidora! Where have you been?" Hyperion and Apollo walked over to me.
"Nevermind that. What's going on? Where my mom and Alexandros?" I looked between the two of them.
"A war. Like Titanomachy. But alot worse." My uncle Perseus walked through the hallway in full body armor, with his Trident in hand. "Calli, while you were gone. An argument started between Hades and Zeus. Dad had thought Hades had taken you for your power and Hades as always wanted to get back at dad because of the was that happened all those years ago."
"But where's mom and Alex?"
"Alex and your mom are getting ready for battle. But Calli, they are separate sides of the field. Alex wanted to prove that he could beat the Gods to make his love for you more powerful. And your mom wanted to fix the mistake she had made all those years ago."
No, this can't be happening.
I'm sorry Callidora, but it is. Dike spoke in my head. I wanted to warn you before but it was too late. Child, you need to try and fix this. You are the only one that can.
She was right, even though I didn't want believe it. It was time I fought for what I believed in, even if it involved me or all the other people I cared about to be killed.
