"Callidora!" I heard Alex scream after me, but I didn't stop for some reason I felt like I couldn't. I just let me feet guide me to where it would be the safest to go, away from the place that has been my home for 5 years now. My mom, I thought I could trust her, I thought she would help me through all the problems I have in my life, I wanted her to show me how to do my hair, my makeup, my nails and I wanted to be able to talk to her through the problems of liking a boy. I stopped myself and rested my hands on my knees taking deep breaths, man was I exhausted now. Looking up, I see several flights of stairs leading to the temple of Zeus, why was I here? I drop down to my knees, I don't want to be near my grandfather, knowing what he's done.
"Dear sweet child, he only did what was best for Olympus." I heard a female voice, not lifting my head, I felt a breeze hit my face. Looking up a ghostly like hand was floating away.
"Who are you?" I asked with a shaky voice, I didn't know what was happening.
"What has your mother told you, she must of not explained to you who we were if you're asking that question." Another voice spoke, it was still female, but had more of a snake like hiss to it.
"Common now Eirene, don't be so harsh on the child, of course her mother said nothing of us to her." A motherly like voice spoke. I turned around and seen three ghostly like figures standing in front me.
"Her mother always was stubborn." The one with the hiss said, I'm guessing she was Eirene. She had short pixie like black hair, her skin was a pale color, she had high cheekbones and red lips, but the sclera, the white part of her eyes were black, her iris was a cat like green and her pupil was white.
"Yes we all knew that." The first one that had spoke looked at me. She had hazel blue eyes, and like the other lady, her sclera was black and the pupil was white. She had platinum blonde hair that cascaded down her back, the tips were black, but looked like it was shaped like flames. "Sorry about that sweetheart, I'm Eunomia, goddess of good order and pasture." She then pointed to the pixie haired girl, "you should've figured out by now that she's Eirene, goddess of peace and spring. And that's Dike, she is the goddess of justice." She pointed at the last girl. Just like the other two figures standing in front of me, her sclera and pupils were the same, but her iris was a golden color. Her hair was a bright blue and flowed down her back till it went past her ribs.
"Together we're called the Horae, meaning, we're the goddesses of seasons and the passing of time." Dike explained, she looked familiar. Like I had seen her before.
"You," I pointed to her. "How come I have seen you before?"
"Dike, what did you do this time?" Eirene snapped at her.
"She was remembering her past slowly, it started becoming nightmares. But it got so bad when she first went to the school that she wouldn't sleep for a couple of days. I went in them to protect her from the bad things that could happen." She explained, raising her hands up in surrender.
"What bad things?"
"You knew who Alexandros was when you were a kid. Someone erased your memory, but you started remembering. Pallas and Helios were best friends, but Helios didn't know of Pallas' death until he figured out you were his daughter." Eirene explained. I had sat on my bottom and wrapped my arms around my knees. Knowing that there's more to this story.
"But Helios went crazy." Eunomia spoke softly. The three of them twisted their hands in circles causing small tornadoes to form beneath them. They pushed them towards me and I felt my body stiffen because of the wind. Then felt a pressure on my temples and a then a pain all throughout my head. I screamed and gripped my head, it felt like it was going to explode.
"S-s-t-top." I stuttered, not being able to speak normal sentences.
"We can't you need to see it." The voice was faint barely audible. I didn't realize my eyes were shut till I opened them seeing a totally different scene in front of me. It was a sunny day, not a cloud in the sky. It was still at the Temple of Zeus, but there was a playground in front of the Temple. A little girl, no more than 4 was on the swings giggling.
"Momma! Momma! Look at me!" She shouted to her mom who was sitting on a blanket that was a plaid pattern.
"Be careful Callidora." She called back to her daughter.
Callidora? That little girl is me. I said to no one particularly.
This is what we wanted to show you. I turned around and seen Dike walking towards me. You had an encounter with Alexandros here. Except you didn't meet Helios till later on.
I raised an eyebrow at her, but she didn't say anything, just nodded her head to the scene in front of us. I looked back over and seen a little boy walking in the distance. He was an exact splitting image of Alex.
Alex.. I whispered softly. The little boy was looking around, he looked older than I did at the time. When he spotted my smaller form, his gaze didn't unlock from me. He then started walking near me.
"Hiya." My younger self said while slowly down to a stop just as Alex got beside her.
"Hi. I've never seen you around here before."
"Well that's because my momma didn't want me leaving the temple. To many bad people wandering around. But I'm allowed to come outside once a year."
"And why's that?"
"Because it's my birthday." She smiled.
I was then feeling a sharp pain in my temples, and ended up dropping to the ground. Then a few seconds later I opened my eyes to be at the temple, having Dike, Eunomia, and Eirene standing in front of me.
"We knew since you mom missed a couple of years to come see us. We figured she told you."
"Well she didn't." I stand up brushing off my knees. "It doesn't surprise me though, I am just figuring out now that my dad was an actual Titan."
"That doesn't surprise any of us." Eirene made a snarky remark.
"I just don't know why she would do that though." I sighed completely ignoring her.
"She wanted to protect you. Everyone did." Dike walked up to me and put her hand on my shoulder, "there is a lot of bad spirits and people around, worse now than when you were younger. They wanted to protect you from all the bad things in your life, according to them, meeting Alexandros, was one of them."
"What do you mean by bad?" I said with a puzzled face, I didn't know what she meant. I didn't know Alex was bad, he doesn't seem like it.
"You're over thinking again Calli." Eunomia said.
"Sorry," my head fell, not meeting any of their eyes. "I love him though, how can he be a bad thing in my life."
"Because," Dike lifted my chin up with her hand, even though she was in spirit form I could still feel her. "There is evil in his heart that you cannot see."
"You can't see it because you're too inlove with that man to see anything." Eirene looked at me. The problem is I knew she was right. I just didn't want to believe her. I turned away from the goddess and started my journey back to the school, back to the nightmare that i didn't want to know existed.
