*Lexi's POV a little earlier*
Uncle Jayy brought me over to the ball pit and then went over to talk to daddy. There were two other girls and a boy in the ball pit jumping up and down and throwing different colored balls at each other. I jumped in the mess of color and made sure my birthday crown didn't fall off. When I popped up out of the balls, the girls were looking at me funny. I tried to smile, but they made weird faces and started walking towards me.
"Hi," I said happily. "I'm Lexi."
"Where's your mommy?" One of the girls asked me. "Is she at work?"
"No, I don't have a mommy," I said quietly.
"How can you not have a mommy!? Everyone has a mommy!" The other girl screamed in my face.
"Well I don't. I have my daddy and my uncle."
"Ew! That's weird! Why are you so weird?"
I tried to say something, but the girls walked out of the ball pit to their mommies. I sighed and fell backwards in the ball pit and listened to other kids having fun. I felt tears fall down my face and I sniffled. Why am I weird if I don't have a mommy? I like living with my daddy and my Uncle Jayy. It's more fun with them than having a mommy ever would be.
"Um, hi . . . I don't think you're weird. I don't have a mommy either. I just live with my daddy."
I looked up at the boy standing next to me and wiped away my tears. So I'm not the only one without a mom! This little boy is shy, like me. His hair is brown and he's wearing a Batman shirt. He's as tall as I am and his teeth are a really pretty white. I just looked at him and I smiled.
"Thanks. I'm Lexi. It's nice to meet you. I like your shirt" I said and held out my hand. It was still little next to his.
"I'm Tyler. And thanks! I asked my daddy to bring me here for my birthday and he finally did! I'm seven today!"
"No. Way. Me too! I asked my daddy to bring me here because I turned seven today!"
"Nu uh! We have the same birthday! That's so cool!" Tyler said, smiling.
"You have to be my best friend! Forever!"
"You too!" We giggled and hugged each other. "So what do your daddy and uncle do? Like as jobs?"
"They're in a band. Blood on the Dance Floor. They sing."
"My sister loves them! She'd be so happy if she saw them! She's at home though . . ." He frowned a little.
"Well that's okay! We're best friends now, so we have to hang out together and you can bring your sister and she can hang out with my daddy and my Uncle Jayy!"
"Okay!" We smiled and giggled.
"So what does your daddy do? Like for a job?"
"He drives a big dump truck! And he brings all kinds of things everywhere! Like yesterday, he brought a bunch of rocks to a big place that smushes the rocks and turns them into pretty things like statues and stuff! I get to see his truck all the time and it's really cool!"
"Oh wow! Trucks are awesome!" I giggled. "That's so coo, Tyler!"
"Lexi!" I heard my daddy call. "Time to go home!"
I frowned. "Awe, but, daddy! Me and Tyler wanna play!"
"I talked to his daddy and we're going to set up play dates, okay? Now come on! I've got a surprise for you at home!"
I giggled. "Okay, daddy! Bye, Tyler!" We hugged and he ran to his daddy and I ran over to my daddy and he carried me to the car and we drove home. I was so happy.
*At home*
Uncle Jayy carried me inside and all the lights were off. I looked around, but everything was really dark. I sighed and waited for daddy to turn on the lights, and when he did, I screamed.
"SURPRISE!" People were popping up out of everywhere! Behind the couch, under the table, out of closets. They all had pointy party hats on and those thingies you blow in that make noise and have sparkly string.
"Happy Birthday, Lexi!" Everyone said. I smiled and looked at the decorations. There were sparkly things everywhere and a bunch of pretty balloons that were my favorite colors! I looked at everyone and saw that everyone from Black Veil Brides was here and Juliet, too! There were a few guys I kinda remember seeing at Warped Tour, but I can't remember their names.
I squealed and Uncle Jayy set me on the ground. I ran around the room and looked at the big pile of presents on the table by the couch. There were so many! I ran up to everyone and hugged them and told them thanks for coming to my party.
We all had so much fun! We played pin the tail on the donkey, and musical chairs, and we all danced around the furniture and all the guys were singing all of my favorite songs! I drank a lot of pop and I was really hyper and running around everywhere. Andy tried to grab me, but I was too fast and I jumped on the couch and then ran in more circles.
Uncle Jayy grabbed me and put me in a chair. Daddy grabbed a big ice cream cake out of the freezer and put candles on the top and set it in front of me. Everyone stood around me and started singing! (Ashley and CC added some stuff in between)
Happy birthday to you
Cha cha cha!
Happy birthday to you
Chicken Nugget!
Happy birthday dear Lexi
Chapstick!
Happy birthday to you
CHACHACHA
I giggled and they all clapped when I blew out the candles. We all ate a bunch of ice cream cake so it didn't melt and it was really good! When everyone was done, I opened all of my gifts. I got lots of new clothes and lots of band stuff too, which is my favorite stuff to get. Andy and Juliet got me a big doll dressed in Black Veil Brides clothes and it had really pretty warpaint on. Daddy's friends from All Time Low got me a bunch of shirts and pretty colored jeans. Ronnie Radke got me a big blue teddy bear with a Falling in Reverse shirt on it and a pink bow on it's ear. My favorite thing, though, was from Daddy's best friend, Jeffree Star. He got me a bunch of play makeup and a doll to use it on!
I hugged everyone and thanked them for being so nice. They got me the best presents ever! I was so happy! But daddy wouldn't let me play with anything yet.
"You still have one more gift from me and Uncle Jayy." He walked over to the closet and when he opened it, I saw a sparkly pink bike with a big red ribbon on it. "Happy birthday, munchkin!"
"Oh my gosh! Thank you! I love you guys so much! You're the best daddy and uncle EVER!" I ran over to the bike and sat on the seat. It was perfect! It still had training wheels, on it because I never learned how to ride one without them yet, but I was so happy! I rode around in circles and everyone clapped and laughed.
When everyone was gone, daddy gave me a bath and put me into my pajamas. They were blue with bows and cherries all over them! He tucked me into bed and kissed my forehead. "Goodnight, my little angel."
"Goodnight, daddy. Thank you so much. I love you. Tell Uncle Jayy I love him, too, okay?"
"I love you, too, Lexi. I'll tell him when he gets out of the shower. Now go to sleep, baby girl. I'll see you in the morning."
I nodded and yawned and daddy laughed as he turned out the light and shut the door. My lighthouse nightlight was bright enough to keep the big bad monsters away at night while I slept. I fell asleep fast and had a bunch of pretty dreams about my party and Tyler.
This was the Best. Birthday. Ever.
