TREVOR~
It is a harassment, or a crime I'd say, to suddenly come out of nowhere and attack me with shrill screams and suffocating hugs. I am quite the reserved guy and though I hated it, I always lived that way. Rick enjoys this far more than I do and unfortunately, more fangirls are headed my direction than his. Who would've known that as early as 4am, fangirls like them are still scattered at the airport?
Barely awake and senile, I give a cheesy grin as I face the camera for a photograph with these random girls. Zephyr, Xavier, Brent and Nathan left me with Rick so they could wait for Flame Alyconia at the other site of the building. I along with techs, are in-charge of the luggage. Heaven forbid, but I am very much willing to make the luggage a bed and lie on them without giving a single damn. I really need sleep.
The Flame Alyconia team would be much more weary than I am, knowing that they just performed at a neighboring state and drove straight away to the airport whereas I stayed up late last night for no reason.
The bodyguards were successful in shoving the frantic fans away. However, not later than a few minutes, those fans gather by the entrance again all crazed up. Who could they be wanting to see early this morning? Of course, who else but Flame Alyconia?
Brent runs to Rick and pulls him from the stubborn fans. This scenario where Rick enjoys the company of fans and seems to be practically begging for more isn't new at all. Xavier, along with the other band, laughs at Rick. I find a good seat, still wanting to take a power nap before our flight.
Moments later we collect to our respective bands. It is all fun talk and greetings since this is the first time we'll be touring together and that the Flame Alyconia dudes has never yet experienced working with us.
I remain seated amidst all the talk. Like a bullet that passed by some moment during my yawn, Kailey shows up in front of me, smiling like a carefree child.
Her smile is a beam of light. A cloudless day. Sunshine. Hope.
"Hello there, Trevor."
Ashamed that she caught me while my mouth was wide open like a cave, I snap my jaws shut quickly. She lets out a laughter so contagious that I laugh along.
"Hey, Kailey. What's up?"
"Completely stoked! I can't wait for The Irony Of Flames Tour!" she exclaims, and at the instant I felt my blood restoring back to its normal lively circulation. I can't believe this, is she finally talking to me like a good ol' friend?
"Uh, yeah. Me too," Before I could think of anything else to tell her, their band manager, Jethro I believe, and their curly-haired tour manager calls out to her and she excuses herself. I watch her as she runs until her image fades away.
I can't help but notice her new hair streaks. It is only now that I realize that she'd always add tints to her hair. During the shooting for the music video, the tips of her hair is dipped in light brown color. In the cover of Post-Hardcore Fever magazine, she had dark red streaks. During the homecoming in Castleburn, the streaks were light blue but fewer that on the magazine. Today, almost one-fouth of her hair is dyed orange and it is on the lower left half of her hair. I don't really understand the pleasure of females changing their hair color, but I find it cool on Kailey.
A push on my back surprises me. I suspect that it was Rick like the usual, and I'm not wrong. He is there behind me and he's got Xavier with him.
"You finally got her talking to ya, huh?" Xavier says with a trace of amusement in his tone. I nod as a reply and say nothing more. Didn't you see? Isn't it obvious, dumb dumb?
