Invisible

Chapter 1. Birthmark

I was called into the main office after my first night at invisible. A cloaked woman stood up from her seat, and told me too walk foward.

I did.

She told me to give her my left arm. She pulled up my sleeve, turned my arm around so my palm was facing up and looked at my birthmark.

She pulled out a picture from her drawer and held it up next to my birthmark. The picture matched. She removed her cloak to reveal the face of a middle aged woman. I could see tears streaming down her face. I just stood there confused at what was happening.

"I found you" she said while she cried. "I finally found you Leo"

"Leo?" I asked, "is that my name?"

"Yes" the lady said.

the lady sent away her guards so we could talk privately.

She told me that she was my mother...

I was finally finding out who I was, and where I came from. Now I really could have the chance!

"Everyone in this facility has been tested for your birthmark." She stated. "Every single one."

"You were only five years old when the came and took you away. All the men and woman here were parents once told when . You're the only one that's made it through the grim Leo." Mother said.

Me and mother talked for about an hour strait, mostly about what had happened when Unity decided the wanted to rule so took advantage of the Grimson outbreak. And of course they had the power over the people. We had no choice in the matter.

But we also talked about a change that was coming. A rebellion against Unity. To take back what was once ours, and find a cure for The Grimson outbreak.

Mother told me that I was the key. My birthmark could do much more than just move.

We start tomorrow.
