Kayly’s P.O.V:
We all knew what to do but I still couldn’t shake a nervous feeling, I was on edge and I saw Ashlynd was too. In fact the only one who didn’t seem nervous was Annelise but then she would have only been worried about breaking a nail.
“Ready?” Raymond asked everyone, most nodded their heads and we all ran at the building where Marco and Adrian were.
We moved in a blur like bits of lightning flashing through the city at high speeds. Ashlynd’s eyes were purple and her fangs were completely out, I bit my lip and felt blood run down my chin. I wiped at it and felt my fangs out too.
Everything went so fast, one minuet Marco was sitting on the chair with Adrian rocking him slightly and then Adrian wasn’t in his arms and was in Ashlynds and Raymond hurled something at him and he looked dead. As I watched Raymond he didn’t throw something at him he took something from him, as if he took his soul right from his chest.
“Raymond no! He’s on our side!” I grabbed a hold of spirit and hurled it at him, he jolted awake and in seconds Sterling was on him. They wrestled on the ground until Cassendryie threw Sterling at one wall while Rider threw Marco on another.
“Kayly you can’t go throwing spirit at people!” Raymond yelled at me holding Marco down giving me a hateful glare.
“Raymond you can’t go taking his spirit away either, Kayly was right to do what she did because we need him… to tell us where Lacey and Benthey are or did you forget?” Ashlynd asked him using her sarcastic and “im the boss” tone. I gave her a thankful look but I really didn’t need her help.
“Ashlynd im sorry.” He bowed to her and her face scrunched up, pretty much all of ours did. Then I thought he was being sarcastic but he wasn’t he look genuine about it.
“Um excuse me?” Ashlynd asked him looking shocked an Ashlynd was never shocked.
“Aren’t you Queen of New York?” she laughed and I laughed too, Adrian did too and Ashlynd looked at him and kissed him sweetly on the cheek.
“No and I hope I never am.” She turned around at Marco and put a serious look on.
“I don’t know where they are.” Marco said defeated.
“Ha-ha that’s a lie, now tell me where they are or I’ll have my friend take away your spirit.” Marco paled and I gave him a slick smile.
“Fine, they’re gonna be here soon so you can just kill them then.” Marco sounded even more defeated and Ashlynd looked away.
“Well then we wait.” She looked at nothing but picked her phone out of her pocket and dialed.
“Hey Altus we got Adrian and there were two Vampires watching him, Marco and Kristyne; Lacey and Benthey are gonna be here soon, should we all wait or some of us?”
“Okay ill tell them.” She hung up and looked at us with almost a grimace.
“What did he say?” Strachen asked, I was curious too.
“He said I, Kayly and Annelise should wait at the school and then the rest of you wait for Lacey, Benthey and Kristyne… but Marco would have to stay with me that way I know you haven’t killed him.” Ashlynd spoke mostly to Raymond.
