----Jade's POV----
It was a perfect Friday afternoon; the tempurature in the mid-80's with a light breeze, and just enough clouds in the sky to cover the sun every once in a while. This was very nice weather compared to where my little group came from, we were eating it up and wanting to stay forever. Ethan, one of my best friends, and I were walking up the small hill of a street from the mess hall to my dorm. Soaking up the gorgeous sun and letting the vitamin D soak into our skin, without getting so burnt you have to fear skin cancer.
"Thanks for walking with me to the dorm," I said, "you really didn't have to, its not to far and I just have to grab a couple of things."
"Don't sweat it, I didn't really want to stay with the rest of them anyway." Ethan said pointing his thumb in the direction of the mess hall we had just come from.
"You getting stuff for your audition?" He asked.
"Yeah, I need to change and get a some other stuff ill need for it."
"Are you nervous?"
"You have no idea!" I exclaimed, "I keep going over and over my dance in my head, looking for mistakes, weak spots, places to quirk, but I think its pretty solid. I'm still unsure though." I had started to shake a little while we were walking. This audition had me on end, I only had the week to perfect it and I was doubting myself.
Ethan must have saw the worry in my eyes because he swirled in front of me and stopped, grabing my hands.
"Jade, you are one of the best dancers I know. You have an amazing dance, thanks to some of the very skilled instructors here," he said with a cocky male grin, "and you are going to blow it out of the water. How have your pirroetts been coming along?"
Ethan, although my age, was one of the workshop teachers here this summer. Mostly because his mom was the head judge on the audition commitee and head of most of the activities. I have known Ethan for a while now, just about three years, and we were thick as thieves. But there has always been and probably always will be one problem...his mother. For some reason unknown to the human mind his mother hated me. Since the day she met me all she has done is either ignore me or insult me, which is why Ethan and I like to keep our friendship a secret.
"Good, thanks to you." I nudged him, "seriously if it wasn't for you I would be falling all over the stage. Spinning, we both know, is not my strong point. Thank you for spending all that extra time with me and helping me master my piroettes."
"No problem," he said with a devilish grin that touched his beautiful green eyes, "what are friends for? So if your confident with your dance, and you've got everything down to a 'T' what are you so nervous about?"
"Ohh I don't know....maybe its the turkey sandwhitch I had for lunch...what do you think?! Who is the head judge and just so happens to hate me with all her being?" I asked sarcastically.
"My mom does not hate you, she doesn't particularly like you, but she doesn't hat- ohh who am I kidding yeah she does. But seriously she's a judge it would just be unprofessional if she judged you by the fact that she doesn't like you instead of judging by your dancing."
"I wouldn't put it past her." I said narrowing my eyes as? he rolled his. I noticed that sometime during our little tyrade we had started walking again but he still held one of my hands and it felt, well...nice. if only he knew what his little gesture actually did to me. Yeah by the way he had no clue I liked him as more than a friend, and that I have for a while.
"With or without my mother judging, you are going to beast this audition like there is no tomorrow!"
"Beast?" I stated, giggleing at his choice of words.
