Topic = Recipe for a gathering
I though I'd put forward a no-bake cheesecake.
I don't follow guides, I use as much or as little seems fine...Cream cheese (whichever you prefere)
Honey or syrup (golden or black treacle for example, but get something thick)
Digestive biscuts (preferably, but another very dry one that crumbles easy should be fine)
Coconut oil (or butter - as long as it can melt & return to a solid texture like these)
Fruit (optional)
Bowl(s) that can go in the fridgeCrush up the biscuits so the they're course to fine
Melt the coconut oil/butter so that it's liquid
Pour the coconut oil/melted butter onto the broken up biscuits
Mix the two together until the biscuits all appear oily
Spread the mix even
Put in the fridge for atleast 20 minutes
This is the base doneThe cream cheese needs placing into a bowl, stiring or whisking until it appears looser
Add the honey/syrup; stir/whisk
Ensure you like the taste
This is the 'cheese' doneSpread the cream cheese mix on top of the biscuit base
Place in the fridge for about 10 minutes
It's done!If you want to dress it up, you can chop & arrange fruit to place on top, you could also pour extra honey/syrup or some form of other spread (like chocolate).
Also, whilst mixing the cheese at the start, you could add small amounts of spices like nutmeg & cinnamon if you like.
Dairy can be substituted for well drained tofu that's been sliced & left on a flannel cloth to reduce moisture further - making it vegan friendly.Tagged by seasofme
