"Melody! Wake up! It's time for breakfast!" I jump out of bed, not caring about my pyjamas, and rush toward the kitchen.
"Hi mom! What's for breakfast?" I ask running towards her and planting a kiss on her cheek.
"Just seaweed pancakes sweetie. Nothing special." She tells me while fixing the seashell in her hair.
"Mom, anything you make for me is special." I smile at her and plant another kiss on her cheek.
A knock is heard on the door.
"Who could want us at this time? Oh, maybe it is Alice! She did say she was going to bring a gift." Mother walked towards the door and left me eating breakfast.
A scream, then a thud.
"Melody Nikas, in request of the Plot Keepers, you must go to the Island of Nightfall." I turned around and looked at the masked figure. I sighed heavily and stood up from my seat.
"You have 24 hours to pack your belongings and say goodbye." A tear slid down my face and as a I grabbed a iced tea and ran to my room.

I wake up in a cold sweat and gasping for air. Rolling over in my seafoam coloured blanket and landing on the damp floor. I ordered a water bed so it could feel a bit more like my home rather than a house a live in. Groaning, my hand comes out of the blanket cave and I start to stand up. When I finally plant my feet on the ground and look around rubbing one sleepy eye. Not only did I order a water bed, but I ordered a water slide cascading down into a pool which leads to the kitchen. After stretching my right arm I walk towards my closet and choose from my vast collection of clothes.

I'm joking. I have literally one shirt and a pair of pants. I mean I could easily use the "Song of the Siren" and hypnotize someone into buying me clothes, but that requires work. I pull on the blue shirt I wore yesterday and slip on a black pair of ripped jeans. I decided to stay barefoot today because I wouldn't be going anywhere.
I smile and speed down the slide, crashing into the pool water. I laugh while dancing in the water. I hear stifled laughter and turn my head. My eyes widen at the sight in front of me.
"Yo what's up rat?" Saviore was standing in my kitchen with her hand in my cereal box.
"Um..how exactly did you get in my house? and get your filthy hand out of my food." Saviore put her arms up in a surrendering position.
"Hey don't blame me! I was hungry. Also you left your front door open and I'm the daughter of a master murderer so...I know a few things." She smirked and put my cereal back on the shelf.
"Plus you were pretty cool so I figured I would chill here for awhile and get away from my lame ass brother." I nodded and got out of the pool, the good thing about being the daughter of a water creature was that I was always dry getting out of the water. I opened my fridge and grabbed a carton of eggs.
"So Saviore, if you are going to stay here I need to request something." She looked at me signalling that she was listening.
"I need your knife." She looked at me with wide eyes before crossing her arms over her chest.
"No way in hell Seaweed Brains." She spat out and glared at me.
"I trust no one with my knife so live with me being armed." She growled and got up.
"Okay but then you have to answer my questions." I cracked the eggs and watched them drip into the pan. I could feel her looking at me from across the room. She groaned out a dull and raspy "whatever... Rat," before stalking back over and sitting down at the booth. I inwardly laughed and was temped to stick my tongue out at her, but with one false move, Saviore could kill me.
"Are you gonna ask or what Rat." She laid her head on her pale hand and looked at me.
"First off, how long has everyone been on the island?" I flipped the eggs over on the pan and leaned back on the stove.  Saviore let out a dry chuckle before her answer.
"Who's the 'everyone' you know about?" I stood still. I knew that it wasn't only us on the island but just how many were there?
"Yo Rat, you got an answer or am I wasting me time." She dryly asked and blinked. I shook my head "yes" but no words came out. I sat there for a couple minutes trying to figure out how many would be on the island, and how many were threats. Patrick Stump's voice broke my out of my thoughts and back into reality.
"Oh hold on Rat I got to take this." She clicked the answer button on her cell phone.
"Hello? Oh hey Furball. No not much. Sure, when and where? Yeah I got the perfect victim in mind! No I'm not torturing them, Yet. Alright fine, I'll see you then. Bye Furball." She clicked her phone and the screen turned black.
"Listen I have to go but I'm going to warn you, sleep with one eye open tonight. You might have a visitor..or two. Bye Rat." With that she left and as soon as I heard my door shut I pulled out my phone and called Ashley at lightning speed.
A groggy voice answered which I only assumed to be Ashley.
"Hello? Who is this?" She groaned out sounding like she just woke up.
"Hey Ashley its Melody. I think Saviore and someone else are going to try and kill me tonight so I might need protection." I heard a bed creaking and a load thud followed by another groan and some choice words.
"Yeah sure hold on I'm going to tell my roommate. HEY SNAKEY IM SLEEPING OVER THE SIREN'S DAUGHTER'S HOUSE OKAY?!" I heard a muffled and angry sounding "shut up" before Ashley's laughter.
"Alright, I'll be over soon. You better have chips, pizza, and lots of movies." The line went dead, I quickly sighed in relief and walked to the TV turning it on and reaching into the cereal box and holding my eggs in another hand. My face soon went red in anger as realisation hit me.
"That bitch ate all my lucky charms."
