Marcel's P.O.V

I woke up to a beeping sound. I opened my eyes slowly and I heard a gasp. "M-Marcel?" I turned my head and squinted as I tried to get used to the bright light in the room. "Louis?" I croaked, my throat feeling like sandpaper.

He handed me a cup of water and I took a little sip, my arm shooting with pain, along with my leg. "Where am I?" I asked to the teary-eyed boy. "Th-the hospital. You were hit by an oncoming car." Then the whole thing that happened came back, hitting my mind like a ton of bricks.

"I was hit by a car..." I trailed off as he breathed out heavily. He rested his beautiful face in his hands. His back shook silently as he started crying. I slowly grabbed on of his hands and looked up at me. "It's okay. I'm fine. Don't cry, Lou." I soothed him. He jerked away from him.

"It's all my fault... I almost lost you." He mumbled through the tears. "It's not your fault. I was mad, maybe a little hurt that you pushed me, since you said you would keep me safe. But Louis, I'm used to it. It isn't your fault, okay?"

"But Marcel, you shouldn't be used to it. Nobody should be used to it... nobody." He shook his head repeatedly. I grabbed him towards me. I cupped his face with my hand. He ran his hands through my loose, and curly hair. "My god..." He breathed out with wide eyes. I gave him a confused look as he kept looking all over my face.

"What? Is there something wrong?" His blue eyes looked into my green ones and shook his head. "No, sorry." I nodded and brought my lips to his in a quick kiss. "But you do have a fracture leg. And you have a broken ankle. I don't get how you didn't have more severe injuries. When I got you here, you were barely breathing. I felt like I was going to lose you..." He mumbled the last part, burying his face into my neck. I sat up straighter.

"I'm here, though. I'm not leaving you. Even though you scare me from time to time, I still think I wouldn't be the same if I lost you either." He looked up at me. From my eyes, to my lips, and over again. Finally, I leaned in and connected my lips with his. He moved his soft lips with mine gently, as if he didn't want to break me. I deepened the kiss by pressing my hand to the back of his neck to push his lips against mine harder.

His tongue traced my bottom lip as I opened my mouth. His tongue rolled with mine passionately. He closed his lips around my tongue and sucked lightly, causing me to moan softly.

I took my good hand, since the other was hurting, and laced my fingers in his feathery hair. His lips moved down my neck, sucking gently on the hot skin. He shifted so he was closer to me and chuckled against my collarbone as I hummed at the amazing feeling. I reached my lips out to brush against the side of his face as his lips moved back up to mine.

I heard the door open and I pushed him off of me suddenly. Me and Louis looked towards the door to see the bewildered nurse staring at us, with a blush across her cheeks. "Uh, sorry. I was just checking on how Mr. Styles was doing..." She mumbled, slowly walking in the room. I looked at Louis with a small smirk placed in my lips. He looked at me with a playful glare as the nurse was checking my blood pressure.

"The doctor will be right with oh shortly, and sorry for the intrusion." She mumbled, about to walk out if the room with a clipboard in her hand. I stopped her. "No, we're sorry. It won't happen again." She smiled at me before leaving the room.

I looked at Louis, who was looking down and blushing slightly. "You just couldn't wait, could you?" I joked to him. He mumbled a shut up and sat on the edge of the upright hospital bed. I kissed his cheek. "Where are my glasses?" I asked him as another wave of guilt traced his tired-looking features.

"Th-they were uh... smashed in the hit." He looked down and shook his head slightly. I cupped his face again and guided it up so his beautiful eyes met mine. "Why are you acting like it's your fault? People break my glasses all the time. Don't put this all on you. It's whoever hit me. Nobody is putting this all on you." He sighed at what I said.

"But your mum thinks it was all my fault. She hasn't actually said that but ever since she got here, she's been ignoring me and giving me dirty looks, as if I'm the one that crashed into you." I shook my head as he became more distressed.

"Lou, calm down. I'll talk to her about it. I was just asking why I couldn't find my glasses," I chuckled as I looked away from his intense gaze, "I can't see that well." I shrugged, pulling him down onto the bed with me. I winced at the pain shooting through my side as I moved so he could lay down.

He quickly got up and moved to the other side of the room. He looked at me with wide eyes. "Louis, I'm fi-."

"No, I hurt you... again." My eyebrows furrowed. "You didn't hurt me. I'm stiff, and I was in a car crash, Louis. Stop saying that you were hurting me." He put his hands shakily to his face and sighed, just as the doctor came in.

He smiled brightly at me. "Hey Harry. I'm Dr. Koester. How are you feeling? I've heard that you had a little," He chuckled and looked back and forth from me to Louis, "Incident with Ms. Collins?" I nodded sheepishly as Louis shrugged, looking away from my quick glance. He didn't hurt me, I moved on my own so he could have some room.

Once the doctor left, I grabbed Louis' hand. "It's wasn't your fault, sweetheart. I was just trying to move and I guess I moved the wrong way, it isn't your fault." I cooed to him. He sighed but nodded and kissed my forehead. I ran my hand up and down his side but he flinched slightly. I have him a confused look. "What's the matter?" He looked at me with panic.

"It's uh... nothing. I'm okay." I gave him an uncertain look but he shrugged it off. He took out a small container and handed it to me. "What's this?"

"Contacts. Thought you might need them until we get you another pair of glasses." He mumbled. "How do you have prescripted contacts?" He shrugged and opened up the small container before placing them in my eye correctly. I gave him a small smile but he didn't return it. Once he was done, he stepped back a little bit. I could see clearly now, but the unsettling silence was getting to me.

I tried to break the awkward silence by saying, "I probably look stupid without the gel in my hair..." Louis snorted. "You look good either way, babe." I smiled lightly. He kissed my cheek, then led his lips down to mine. I brushed my lips with his. "You're getting so much better at kissing." Louis said against my lips, smiling. I smiled with him too, only to mush our lips together again.

I'm starting to have strong feelings for him.
