~Rae's POV~
Tears won't stop for a reason. I can't help but cry, helplessly. I fell to my knees and hung my head low. Was whatever Kaze was saying true? Am I being hypnotized? I shot up and ran to the the electrical wire behind my bed. It was the loose wire that I used to play with. Most of my friends says it's dangerous, but it was pretty fun if you know to use it.
I let my finger tips touch the copper wires. I felt the static run through my body. I concentrated hard. Dad's phone is probably charging right now. I released one of my bolts and hid it in his memory card. Nobody will ever find it, other than me, possibly. The bolt will help me spy on dad for a while.
I got up and opened my first drawer. I cleared everything out of it and removed the drawer board. Under it was my hidden stash of electronics. I placed the file under it and placed everything back into the drawer.
I wiped away all the tears and ran to unlock my door. I sat on my bed, trying to remember why I left the mansion. From what I know now, that was probably the reason, but it feels like it's the first time I've seen this. If Alpha Greg isn't my father, then who is he? It may be risky, but I'm going to continue this act until I get what I want. Then, someone knocked on the door. I shot up from the bed and grabbed my phone from my dresser and pretend to type something with music lowly on. "Come in." I said casually.
Beta Fredrick came in. A huge pain stabbed my heart. I was sadden at the sight of him, like I was betrayed. I forced on a smile. "Hey Fredrick." I said cheerfully. "What's up."
He smiled at me with a sigh of relief. "I heard you came back. How are you feeling?"
"Great!" I lied. "I'm so glad I'm back home. I don't know why I left though."
He came over. I had the urge to back up, but I stayed put. He sat beside me and showed me something in his hands. It was a small black box. I looked at him questioningly. "What's that for?"
He chuckled. "It was your birthday present, silly. You left before I could give this to you."
"For me?"
He nodded and handed it to me. I took it and slowly opened it. Inside was a golden bracelet with blue gems carved into lighting bolts on them. On a larger bolt had my name carved on it. I looked up at him with surprise. "Did you make it?"
He smiled. "Yes. I remembered how you always seem happy whenever a lightning storm came by. It was so cute when you always did the rain dance just to create more lightning when you were five."
I giggled. I remembered that day. It always made me happy, like I belong to the sky. I looked down at the present. "I love it." I hugged him. "Thank you."
He hugged me back. "Your welcome."
He released me, a stern look appearing on his face. "Promise me you won't ever where this I front of your parents? Or in front of anyone close to your parents other than the both of us?"
"Why? Is there something wrong?"
He stared before nodding. He held out his pinkie. "Promise?"
I nodded and linked his with mine.
He got up. "I should go back now. Happy belated birthday Rae."
I nodded and watched him close the door of the room. I strapped on the bracelet. It was true. I loved it. Tears streamed down my face again. I felt so betrayed for some reason. My heart were stabbed by a thousand needles of suffering. Just then, I remembered something related to my present. I ran to the bathroom and washed my face. I dabbed my face dry with a towel and went to my closet. I ran through my jean pockets. That's when I finally found it.
