I look out upon the cliff. The sea is churning. Just like my stomach. The sun has long set. I was supposed to have been home by now. I look down at the dark waves crashing against the stone beneath. I almost felt as if I was being sucked in... My legs begin to move on their own. Step by step, I get closer to the edge until I feel myself being swallowed by the sea. Darkness.

"SANS!! WAKE UP, IT'S ALREADY PAST NOON!!"
"p... Papyrus...?"
"Yes brother?"
".... Nothing." So it was a dream.... Not the first one I've had like that, either. As a matter of fact, that dream basically sums up every dream I've had for the past MONTH! Regardless, I look up at my younger yet much larger brother with a smile.
"Would you like any spaghetti?" He asks.
"yes please," I reply, because it makes him happy when I agree. As long as he's alive and happy, my life has meaning. However... If he dies because of a certain someone, I just might go insane. Or not. I mean, the timeline will always just reset... Right?

I walk over by the lady's door, prepared to knock, when I hear footsteps. SMALL. Footsteps. I duck behind a bush, hoping to not be spotted. One look at that hairstyle and I know just who it is.
They walk past a branch, and, as if on routine, I step on it, accidentally breaking it. No reaction this time... They're probably too used to it. They continue on, unfazed, when they finally reach the bridge. I slowly walk up to them and extend my hand.
"HUMAN. DON'T YOU KNOW HOW TO GREET A NEW PAL? TURN AROUND AND SHAKE MY HAND."
They turn. The whoopee cushion goes off. I laugh.
"Heheh, the old whoopee cushion in the hand trick, it's always funny!" Rosy cheeks. Menacing smile. Crimson eyes. Dusty hands.
"w-Woah... You're not my kid."
