Rain's POV

As the clock striked 8 the alarm rang in my ear. I slowly removed my hands from underneath my tiger print covers and threw the alarm across the wall. I moved the covers from by my waist to my head and was fast asleep again.
By around 10 AM my dad came home from his 2 AM shift. He always checks on me to see if I left for school or not.
Boy was that a bad day for me.
I woke up from being roughly dragged out of bed by my arm.
" Rainelle, why aren't you in school?" My dad asked harshly.
Oh yeah school. That's why my alarm clock woke me up so early.
I shrugged then looked up at my dad with my big brown eyes and gave him my best puppy dog eyes yet.
" Can I stay home today?"
" Hell no go get dressed your already late enough as it is." My dad barked
" Fiiine."
I dragged my feet over to my closet and threw clothes on the floor searching for my uniform.
I stopped until my closet was empty and all my clothes were behind me.
" I can't find my uniform..guess I have to stay hom-"
" Uhm." My dad interuppted my sentence and held up my uniform.
" Oh..heh." I said awkwardly and took the uniform from him softly.
" Thanks dad.."
" You welcome Rainelle now get dressed." He demanded as he left the room.
" And it's RAIN!" I shouted annoyed.
Everyone calls me Rainelle why can't Rain catch on?
I hurried and slipped on my uniform then threw my backpack on my back.
This is it. Back to the hell school we go.

When I arrived at school everyone was standing in front of the school or sitting on the stairs. I immediately saw my bestfriend Elena aka Lena talking to THE Damon Edwards.
I froze in place as he caught my gaze, his eyes were blue like the sea, his smile was just amazing. He looked away and made Elena look at me, I must of been staring at him too long.
This is SO embarrassing.
My legs moved on its own and I ran in a different direction as them.
I sat in the corner behind the school, and rocked back in forth.
Can I be more pathetic?
The bell rang and I hurried over to chemisty.
I sat in the back and placed on my protective goggles then dropped my backpack on the floor.
Whew I was safe.
My eyes pierced at the door seeing Damon and Elena come in together.
Shit spoke too soon.
They both sat together but across from me giggling and hugging until class began.
" Good morning class." Mrs. Clinton said.
Everyone replied with " Morning" or " Mornin'."
Mrs. Clinton was going over items from the test but was rudely interrupted by the sound of lips smacking.
Would you look at that? It was Damon and Elena.
" Damon Edwards and Elena Stewarts!" She yelled.
" Stop smacking those lips together in MY classroom while I'm teaching!"
That didn't help at all they just continued.
Mrs. Clinton heels clicked as she stomped her way over to them and pulled them apart.
Damon scoffed and Elena pleaded, so Mrs. Clinton dragged Damon by the ear and plopped him down to the seat next to mine.
Wait next to mine?! No no no!
I shot Mrs. Clinton a dirty look and she mouthed " Sorry." I rolled my eyes in her response.
I slightly stared at Damon in the corner of my eye he was smiling. I looked away then I felt a hand on mine as I placed my hands on the table.
I gasped then looked at him then he smirked.
" What's your name?" He whispered so Mrs. Clinton didn't hear.
My mouth went open then it closed but it opened back again as he squeezed my hand tighter.
" It's Rainelle. But you can call me Rain." I whispered back to him.
" I'm Damon, Is Elena your friend?" He softly asked.
I nodded in response slightly blushing.
I can't believe this is happening!!
" Your a little lame to be a friend of Elena's." He snickerd.
My blood temperature rose and my head exploded.
Did he just say that? Oh hell no.
" For your information, I'm really awesome in every way." I smiled proudly.
" Keep telling your pretty face that." He rolled his eyes.
" I hate you!" I whisper-screamed.
" Trust me I dislike you in every way Rainelle. Even your name I dislike, it's weird." He spat back at me.
I melted.
I hate this guy...
But I can't help but to like him.
What's wrong with me?
