Rain's POV
" Rain!"
I turned to see Tristan running over to me.
" There you are, I was worried sick about you."
" Hey Tristan! I'm okay sorry about leaving you hanging yesterday. I had a little accident but I'm fine now."
" Okay..who's this?" He said glancing at Scott a few times.
" Oh! This is my friend Scott. Scott meet Tristan." I smiled looking at them both.
" Sup."
" Hey."
" Rain we should head home now, my dad is waiting for us." Tristan offered looking at Scott again.
" I guess."
" Scott pick me up at 8 pm tomorrow. I wanna see my mom by then."
" Sure thing lovebird. Drive safe and don't forget to text me."
" Okay Dad."
Scott laughed then gave me a small push.
Tristan guided me to his car and we both was on the way home.

When we got there the house looked back to its old shape again.
I jumped onto my bed and texted Scott just like he asked.
hey Scott. [sent. 5:54 pm]
..
..
sup. [sent. 6:00 pm ]
i just wanted you to know I came home safe xxxxx [sent. 6:02 pm ]
...
..
ok. well tomorrow I'll pick you up at 8. you should get some rest bye. [sent. 6:27 pm]
okay bye Scott. [sent. 6:30 pm ]

What a long day.
Tomorrow I'm gonna figure out what's going on between my dad and mom.
Right after school why is winter break over so quickly?!
Ugh.
[ Knock Knock ]
" Come in!"
A small human figure came running along and I smiled.
" Daniel your okay!" I shouted picking him up then spinning him around.
" I missed you!"
" I missed you too sissy." He cried hugging me tighter than his little arms could.
" Do you want to lay with me tonight?" I asked him.
" Only if you read me a bed time story." He pouted giving me his famous puppy dog eyes.
" Of course and you can even see Mommy tomorrow."
" Really?! Thanks Sissy!" He yelled jumping on the bed getting ready for the story.
I laughed at him then searched for a book in my drawer.
" Okay this story is called the Little Red Riding Hood." I told him flipping the page and sitting on the edge of the bed.
" Once upon a time.."
A long ass story later..
Finally he's asleep.
I snuggled up by him and was fast asleep myself.

The next morning I actually woke up early for school.
Shocking am I right?
I skipped to Tristan's room and saw that he was still asleep. And you know what that means? Bother him obviously.
I jumped on his bed then sang All Night out loud.
" I've been watching you.. ALL NIGHT I THINK OF YOU."
" Shut up." He groaned kicking me off the bed.
I fell to the cold hard ground side first, I screamed in pain and agony as I held my side.
That side hurts..
Tristan slipped over to me and slowly touched my side.
" Don't touch my side and don't touch me!" I cried running out of his room and downstairs.
" Morning Rainelle." Nick greeted flipping pancakes.
" Your up early. School starts in two hours."
I shrugged and plopped down in a seat laying my head down on the table.
Suddenly a bunch of small footsteps came crashing downstairs.
" Morning Sissy. Morning Vic." He said quickly sitting by me.
" It's Nick." Nick growled.
" Really? Since when?" Daniel asked pretending not to know.
Nick rolled his eyes and continued to flip pancakes.
Soon Tristan came along wearing his school uniform.
" Dad. Daniel. Rain." He said briefly then taking a seat.
My phone buzzed on the table and I slowly swiped it open.
Scott 💓
i'm dropping you to school today meet me outside in two minutes. [sent. 6:32 AM]
I closed it then got up from the table, kissed my brother on the cheek , waved goodbye to Nick, and rolled my eyes at Tristan.
" Where are you going?" Tristan wondered getting up out of his seat.
I left the house not giving him a time to answer.
I wasn't in the mood for his games.
I zoomed in Scott's truck and hit him on the shoulder.
" What? Why did you pick me up early?"
" I gotta tell you something."
" What is it?"
" Rain..your Mom's dead."
