Re: This is the very first poem i have ever written..
In a land of darkness forever I swing
searching for an escape
neither memories nor wings
with my thoughts I must play
----
But suddenly, I perceived a figure off into the void
lights shining bright and full to the brim
I saw a beautiful woman wearing white
and realised the light was from within
----
She beckoned me towards her
smiling an eternal smile
but I was hesitant to move
fearing witches and vampires in disguise
---
I couldn't read her face
as it was just one constant shade
though the fresh and yet familiar words flowing forth
brought to my Aching Bones some Grace
---
She left , still clad in white
the light shining just as before
but she left something she may not have meant to
a memory more precious than Gold
---
She came & went from time to time
always with just a pleasant smile
yet i felt a little hurt when she used to leave
without even saying goodbye
---
One day she asked a question
which would open a talking stream
the stream would go to places as such
that neither could have predicted in their wildest dreams
---
The stream of talk turned into a stream of tears
but the tears were not in vain
because they both had suddenly realised
how long they had been living in pain
---
Then she took me in her arms
both in a world of glee
as she gave me wings and memories to keep
I knew that I was free
---
No more in the land of darkness do I Stay
No more do I feel alone
It is in the Land of light that I now swing
always hand in hand with my twin
...
