Blades [Chara X Reader]

..Ghosts?

The plasma lasers sped towards Y/n, almost hitting her. Almost.

Before they reached her, Chara had materialized and stopped them - using the real knife as a shield. The plasma energy ricocheted towards Sans, but he managed to stop it. Chara quickly sprinted towards the Gaster Blaster and jabbed the knife into the lower part of its skull and pressing up, flipped it over, before  jumping up and sitting cross-legged on it.

"Greeting, Sans, I am Chara. Surely you have heard of me." They giggled, placing a hand over their mouth.

"Heh, yeah," Sans chuckled lowly, his eye still blue, but not trying to attack her just yet, for the sake of being polite, "But you're nothing like I've heard."

"Oh?" Chara rested their head on their hands in curiosity, "So what have you heard? I'm listening."

"Heh. I heard you were dead and gone. Ya know, the first fallen human. Although, I know you tried to get Asriel to kill the humans on the surface as well."

"Oh! Well, that much is true."

"Speaking of which, how'd ya happen to be alive? got nothin' against it personally, but still." He growled.

"Y/n.. her power awakened me from death."

"So ya're still alive 'till she's dead?"

"Not quite. Of course, I could explain it all to you, but that would not be any fun now, would it?" Chara tilted their head to the side, smiling in a strangely unnerving manner.

"Aye, so what'd ya actually come 'ere for?"

"Well... I cannot have you touching my Y/n, can I?"

"Did... you just call her yours?" Sans looked slightly concerned, "that's kinda messed up."

"That is all I shall say on the matter for now. But if you touch her... you won't like what happens next." Suddenly, Chara's eyes faded slowly to black, and started to bleed a black oily substance. Their smile turned wider, if possible, before filling with the same shadowy liquid and leaking from their mouth. A loud, indescribable laugh escaped their lips, echoing around the deserted town.

Y/n turned to find the source of the laugh but, by then, both Sans and Chara had disappeared. Not a trace or hint that anything had happened. She continued her confident stride, with the knife at her side. The only noise now being the echoing sound of water rushing, as cascading waterfalls and rivers rushed, tumbled and twisted around her. Soon, she reached a small, natural 'room'. There was a seemingly-glowing bright cyan flower, the flashing yellow star, and an empty guard station. 

'EIGHTEEN LEFT' the notice in red text appeared as Y/n tapped the save point. She tapped the notice again and saved. Just before she continued her long, genocidal journey, she noticed two wooden doors by the guard post. Her curiosity getting the best of her, she vaulted over the station and walked up to the doors, with her knife in hand, and tried to open them.

The keyword being 'trying'. The doors would not budge. She tried shoving herself against it, but it still wouldn't budge. Shoving herself harder, the doors bent, but didn't open. She positioned her knife, and started stabbing the door. Small splinters of wood appeared in it, but still, it didn't open. She used the knife again, this time between the doors to try and pry them open. She pushed, and eventually the knife disappeared behind the door.  Y/n swore loudly and started hammering on the door with her fists.

Taking pity on her, Chara decided to stop following the 'beautiful girl Y/n' (according to them) around and materialize.(Ayy this chapter's where all the Chara action happening, yo) 

"Greetings. I am Chara. I am sure you remember me, and I remember you." Chara giggled lightly as they appeared behind her.

Y/n jumped slightly, before putting up her fists, then putting them down once she realized it was Chara,
"Ch- Chara! Oh man... I finally get to meet you in this timeline!" She stuttered happily, before whispering quietly to herself, "Dnagit I sound like Monster Kid." (IT'S A WORD NOW) 

Chara apparently heard this.

"Well yes, yes you do. You seem to be having some trouble with that door? Perhaps I can help."

"Well sure! I canno- I mean, I can't open it. And my knife fell in."

Chara grinned at Y/n, showing the sharp teeth they possessed before using their knife to stab the door, until it turned to a pile of splintered wood on the ground. Chara gestured towards her and the door, letting her know that she could go first. Covering her mouth with her hand to conceal the smile, Y/n moved through the door, and into the darkness ahead. Chara followed behind, twirling their knife in their hands thoughtlessly.

"Ah! Here's my knife!" She cheered, picking it up, "But no way I'm missing out on a chance like this. I wanna see if there are any more monsters!"

Chara followed curiously, both of them with their knives at the ready. It seemed to be a very long corridor. It didn't get any lighter than the darkness they were currently in. Y/n had to squint- but thanks to Chara being originally a ghost-demon-thing they could see fairly well.

Eventually, Y/n managed to make out the shape of a grey door.

"Hey, Chara! I found a door!" She called out, and Chara came.

Opening the door, they both strode in sassily, before squinting. This room looked remarkably like a doctor's room, or a lab. It was much brighter, but nothing seemed to be there.

"Come on, Y/n, there is nothing left for us here. There is nothing here, even. Let us just leave." They spoke quietly to her, walking towards the exit. The door slammed shut before they could leave, making Y/n jump.

Suddenly, a man appeared. Well, as much of a man as you could get. In fact, he looked rather similar to Sans and Papyrus. The man had a skull, shaped like an oval. One eye looked like it was carved into a smile, with a line carved from the top of his skull to to his right eye. His left eye was oval shaped, and had a large crack in his skull, running from his eye to the bottom of his skull. He wore a collared white shirt, under a long, flowing black cloak.

he looked up at the two of them, his carved smile still not wavering. Y/n clutched her knife tightly, before rushing up to him and attempting to attack him. But before she could, the man's smile spread, beginning to go up past his eyes, and he slowly faded away.

"Well that was some serious bullsh*t if I ever saw it." She sighed, kicking the dust that had fallen from the creases in her sweater, spreading it all over the room. 
"Wait... Chara?"

Chara looked towards to human girl, with their normal smiling face.

"Where did this door come from? Where did this corridor come from? I mean... I haven't seen it before.. It's like it just appeared."

"Well.. actually, Y/n, there's something I need to tell you. You see... doors like these-"

Suddenly, her phone rang.

"Wh-"

"Listen here..." It was clearly Sans voice, and he sounded angry.

Chara continued, "Only normally appear to-" But was interrupted again by Sans' voice.

"-You dirty little hacker."
