Chapter 5

"Danielle... Would you like to move in with us?" Lachlan asked.

I thought about it for a moment. I thought about the ups and downs of living with him and Preston.

"I'm sorry but I can't. I'll always feel like I'm in your way... Whenever I'm with friends, I always follow them around, not knowing what to do. I'm just so awkward tha-"

"Danielle," Lachlan grabbed my hands, "you need to be confident in yourself. Trust me, if we thought you'd get in the way, we wouldn't have invited you to stay."

His warm and soft hands fit perfectly in my small ones, immediately making me feel at ease.

He smiled warmly at me, his pearly teeth showing. I guess he realised how relaxed I was now.

"I guess I could move in with you guys..." I said after thinking about what Lachlan said.

Lachlan stood up, pulling me up with him. We were standing and he still didn't let go of my hand. He just stood there, staring at me, smiling widely.

"Come on, lovebirds. We've got to get back to the house to let everyone know the BIG NEWS!!" Preston shouted the last words while walking away with his arms up.

I blushed a crimson red and followed him with Lachlan still gripping on to my hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze to relax my nerves.

Lachlan's POV

We finally reached the condo and walked in.

The guys are staying round at the moment. We're all filming videos together.

The guys stopped what they were doing and looked over at me and Danielle with raised eyebrows.

I rubbed circles on the back of her hand when I felt her body tense up,

"DANIELLE!" They all screamed and dog piled us. She cuddled up to me, looking quite scared. That's when I remembered.

"Guys, get off! Remember her backstory!" The guys immediately obeyed and got up, seeing her cuddling into my side. They looked at us with wide eyes and wiggled their eyebrows.

"No we're not dating," I turned to Danielle, "Do you want me to show you to my room?..." I asked, awkwardly.
She nodded and went behind me to follow me through the condo and into my room.

"You can sleep in my bed if you want and I'll take the couch..." I said, nervously. I wanted her to sleep in my bed with me but she can't ever know that...

She shook her head, "I'll take the couch. You have your bed. After all, this is your house and you need more sleep considering how late you stay up."

"How do you know ho-"

"I watch your videos, Lachlan." She giggled. I blushed in embarrassment and scratched the back of my neck, "Oh yeah..."
