Relationship Status: It's Complicated

Chapter 5

Haley woke up early and saw that her roommate is still asleep. She groaned before getting up and freshen herself up in the bathroom.

She silently headed out of the room and into the kitchen. She can hear someone stirring a cup of tea because of the noises the teaspoon makes when it hits the sides of the cup.

She thought that it was Scotty making a cup of sweet tea but she was wrong. She reached the kitchen and found Paul. "Good morning." she greeted.

"Good morning to you too, Haley." Paul greeted back.

"Why you up so early?" she asked.

"I have to go to work early. I'm gonna shoot my new music video on my new single before I release it." Paul answered.

"Good for you. What time are you gonna come back?" Haley asked.

"Probably afternoon or before dinner. Why?" he questioned.

"Well, we might watch a movie later in the theatre. You might want to go home early and join the fun." she replied.

"I'll try," Paul said with a smile. "Tea?" he offered.

"Sure, I'd love to." she replied.

"Pia's asleep, is she?" Paul asked.

"Yeah." she answered with no interest on her voice.

After a moment of silence, Haley spoke up. "You know, what you did with your proposal to Pia was sweet. I hope Casey would do that too." she said.

"He will." Paul said smiling. Haley was about to speak when Paul's phone rang.

"Oops, as much as I want to stick around and talk but I really have to go." Paul said politely.

"Sure, don't wanna be late on your music video shoot." Haley said smiling.

"I'll see ya." Paul said.

"Don't forget about the movie night!" Haley reminded.

"Sure."

Haley watched as Paul's car made it's way to the mansion's driveway just by the front door. Paul honked at Haley and she waved in return. She smiled and waited for Paul's car to be out of her sight.

She stood there for a moment and decided to head back inside. As she got back inside, the smile that was plastered on her face haven't left and she just focused her eyes on the cup of tea that Paul gave her when she bumped into someone almost spilling her tea.

"Aahhhh!" Haley screamed at the top of her lungs.

"Ahhhhhh!" Casey screamed along with her waking everybody up.

Thia was the first one to wake up when Haley and Casey screamed. She was in a rush to wear her slippers that she didn't notice that she wasn't wearing the right pair.

Lauren was the second one to go out of her bedroom. She was also searching for her slippers but she doesn't seem to find the other pair but she decided to ignore it and just go down with one slipper.

She was running down only with one foot since she cannot find her other pair of slipper when she accidentally slipped and fell down the stairs. "Oops!" Lauren said.

"Has anyone see-"

"Oww!" Lauren screamed in pain. She turned around and saw Stefano throwing fist pumps in the air.

"Did I hit you? I'm sorry." Stefano apologized.

"Who was that?" Karen asked while lifting her eye covers so that she can see the scenario happening.
