Erza's POV
I tried my best not to think what would happen if he took a sudden change of heart again and decided to kill me. Well at least on the bright side, his eyes don't look dreadful anymore. I still don't think that I can trust him just yet, but I'm just gonna eat cake with him, and that's all. Hesitantly, I took his hand, and brushed the dust off of me. Hopefully the clothes in my bag hadn't been ruined by my fall. I still needed them for the Fantasia parade tomorrow. Once I got up, he didn't ask if I was Ok, and I didn't say anything to him. We were complete strangers, yet this silence we held wasn't awkward, instead it was comfortable, as if he had also been used to being silent. He began to walk away, his hands stuffed in his pockets. I followed quietly behind him, matching his steps. After awhile, we reached a narrow alleyway stuffed with garbage. I looked at it inquisitively. Why would Gray Fullbuster lead me to this dark alleyway. I reached the conclusion that he decided to kill me after all, and to bury my body along with all the garbage and stench. Then, he stopped abruptly, causing me to almost run into him. He closed his eyes, and began to chant something, doing some strange arm gestures. After a few seconds, there was a completely new change of scenery in front of her. It was a large creepy building, so this must be his gang hall, the one that has yet been undiscovered by the Magic Council. Of course it would make sense that he put spells around it. Thick black thorns wrapped around the hall, giving a clearly unwelcoming look. I took a deep breath, then fell in step behind him again. As the two of us entered the building and descended into the hall, a guy with three nose piercings and one hell of a haircut jumped out of nowhere. I gave a tiny squeal and covered my mouth. What are these people?
"Gray! Looks like you brought a little girly with you this time!" His voice was rough and very intimidating, not at all like Gray's voice. I just scoffed. I was not the type of person that could handle being called like that.
That was when I realized that Gray Fullbuster didn't know my name. I knew his, but he probably didn't know mine. The number of murders that his monstrous gang committed was no secret here in Magnolia, but I figured he probably thinks I don't know what him and his gang are up to, since I'm just a street dancer.
"It's Erza Scarlet, not little girly." I found myself replying sharply.
Gray stared at me with a mix of emotions displayed on his face.
The weird haircut dude just smirked.
"Well Gray...looks like you found a little girly that has a fiery appetite." He seemed pleased after he said that, but then when I offered him no reaction, he scowled and dispersed into the shadows once again. After a few moments of dead silence, I heard a choking sound.
Gray was laughing. He wore an iridescent smile. When he finally stopped, he turned to look at me.
"Looks like you burned Gajeel."
I tried to glare at him, but somehow, my mouth twisted into a smile.
Gray continued walking down the hall, but now instead of wearing a scrunched up face, the hint of a smile was still left there.
Good. I hope he would never stop smiling.
Because his smile was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.
