Erza's POV continued...

My heart pounded with fear, thinking over and over again, what should I do what should I do. I looked up slowly and our eyes met. Even though he appeared cold and menacing, there was something about him that I just can't quite pin out. His aura wasn't threatening at all but instead it seemed to be...empty. It was then I decided that I would not be afraid, but instead act as if his intimidation had not bothered me.

"Oh I'm terribly sorry sir, I didn't know I was just passing by here on my way home." I paused for a second not looking at his reaction. Then I hesitated for what I was going to say next I was surely going to regret it.

"Would you like some Strawberry Cake?" I asked holding out my cake.

Gray's POV

My eyes widened. I suddenly forgot what I was up to or anything else for the matter. I heard her words over and over again in my head. Had she just offered me Strawberry Cake? No matter how hard I searched my mind, I can't remember the last time someone had been this kind to me, well not since I have become a gang leader. Does she know who I am? I guess not, or she would be running away screaming for her life, like anyone that valued theirs. But her eyes showed no fear. I didn't even think anybody was brave enough to even put one foot on our territory, and this girl here offers me a piece of her strawberry cake.  I wonder what kind of person she is. I hesitated, then nodded.

The girl looked at me with a surprised look on her face, then nodded and stared at her cake. Then I studied her. From the looks of her and her clothing, she was nothing more than a street dancer, yet there seemed to be something different from her from anyone else he had ever met. Then I straightened my face. NO I am the leader of a gang, and leaders can't be big softies. I must be tough, and for goodness sake, I was murderer! I have murdered countless people ever since I was the leader of the Fairy Tail Gang. Yet, I could not bring myself to kill much less harm this girl. It was then that I decided that my Guild's opinion was yet to matter. If she tries anything though, so much as tell the magic council, I will slice her throat with my own hands.

"Would you like to eat it with me in our guild hall?" I asked her, holding out a hand."
