Kaneki was trying to literally dismember someone's arm out of pure hunger, he was caught and reported to the CCG. Once they got there the man he was eating was already dead. Kaneki ran and ran, farther and farther, however he could not lose them until they started to slow down. He climbed the walls with his kagune quickly before having a tentacle cut off causing him to fall abruptly. He screamed in agony as they repeatedly stabbed him in the stomach. He eventually lost consciousness after 5 minutes of stabbing time.

Kaneki coughed blood and sat up and looked at his stomach. Bandaged. He looked around. White room and blankets placed upon himself. He felt a pain in his stomach and laid back down. The pain hurt in his stomach.

This pain had still been there for 6 months. It's has been hurting more and more as days passed. He was surely to die. Who would take care of Touka? Who would be there for her? No one would. He turned to face the ceiling then looked at Touka hugging his left arm. Sleeping peacefully. It had hurt to know he would die and that no one would be there for her. He started to cry softly. He placed a hand over his mouth. As his body shook from sniffling his stomach hurt as it shook. He started to cough painfully. Choking, he started to wheeze. Cough, cough. Choke, choke. Wheeze, wheeze. Why hasn't he healed from the hole in his stomach? Touka woke up from his choking. She widen her eyes as she realized what was happening. She cried as she had nothing to do. If she called 911 they would've known he was a ghoul and they would find out she was one too. Kaneki spoke, choking on his last words.
"T-ouka." She leaned over him. "D-don't speak it'll waste your energy and hurt you even more." He ignored what she had said. "Touka I l-love... Y-you" Those were his last words before he died. She pressed her head onto his chest and cried.

It's been years after Kaneki's death. Touka had been living a happy life. What Kaneki wanted. Kaneki wanted to see her happy. Touka had been successful in her job. Kaneki had also been happy in heaven. Yes. Heaven.
I am crying. Well. I hope you guys had cried at least. It may sound mean I know, but I wanted this to be a sad yet happy at the end. YOU BETTER HAVE CRIED. IF NOT, THERE IS DEFINITELY SOMETHING WRONG WITH YOU
