Riley POV

I headed home after I ran some errands for Lauren. She called me out to the back yard. She was tanning, naked. BOY WAS THAT WAS NOT A PRETTY SIGHT. I was barely looking at her. "Yes, Lauren?" I ask. If I saw anymore of her, I was going to puke.

She wrapped herself before she said anything else. "Riley, I need you to work the diner tonight okay?"

"But I have off. I have the homecoming dance to go to."

"I don't care, you are working tonight and that's final."

"Lauren, I never ask you for anything. Please let me go to this dance."

"NO! AND DO NOT ASK ONE MORE TIME!"
I could barely speak. Tears started to form in my eyes. I walk away before she could say anything else.

-----------------At the Diner------------

It wasn't a busy night, but Wanda asked me to a cover a table because she was waiting about 5 other tables. She points to the table and it is just my luck, Lucas Friar, Missy and their crew were all sitting in a booth. I sigh before I skate over to the table. Kill me now. "What would you guys like to order?" I ask with a smile on my face.

Missy scans the menu. "What can I get here that has no sugar, no carbs and I fat free?

"Water," I respond bluntly. Austin and his friends start to laugh, Missy and her friends roll her eyes. I overhear Lucas say "I thought it was funny."

"I'll have an ice tea," Missy replies. I write it down in my notepad when I hear Zay.

"Yo diner girl, I'm still waiting for my breakfast burrito." I roll my eyes and walk away.

Lucas POV

"Missy, we need to talk, privately."

"Anything you say to me you can say in front of my friends," as she refers to everyone at the table. Everyone slowly starts to lean on closer to us.

"I wanna breakup." Missy's smile turned into a face of anger. The girls gasp as the guys oohhh behind me. "But we can still be fr...."

"Don't say the word friends! We are going to get ready for the dance and I am going to shake off what you said until you get your mind out of the gutter!" Then Missy storms off with her friends.

They guys go out after them. I'm left in the booth and I finally get out holding money in my hands about to offer it to Riley who is holding the drinks. "It's fine, don't worry about it," and she skates away. I still place the money on the counter. As I walk out, some weird kid in a Zorro costume storms into the diner.

Farkle POV

"Have no fear. Zorro is here." I yell while looking around the diner. I eye Riley and excitedly walk over to her. "And I got the keys to my dad's car. Please tell me your not going to me lover boy as diner girl?" Riley rolls her eyes.

Shawn comes up behind her. "Lover boy? Riley is this the guy who sends you those love notes."

"They're not love notes. ...They're text massages," Riley shyly responds.

"Riley supposed to meet him at the dance tonight," I say looking at Shawn.

"Riley, what are you doing here? You got to get to that dance."

"Yo tell her brotha," lightly punching Shawn's arm.

"Do that one more time Farkle and I'll cut off your arm." Okay that took an unexpected turn. Shawn turned back to Riley. "Riley you have to go."

"I would love to. Even if I could I wouldn't. I don't have anything to wear." She looked defeated.

Shawn dragged Riley by the arm and motioned my to come too. We reached Shawn's car when Riley finally asked where we were going. "We are going to get you to that dance tonight."
