Riley POV

"Would you rather have a rice cake or a Big Mac?"

"A Big Mac." I start to giggle. "What does that have to do with anything?" I question.

"I like a girl with a hearty appetite. Do you like any sports at all?"

"What kind of question is that?"

"Sorry, I guess you're a girl that doesn't know anything about sports than."

"What's that supposed to mean? I know sports."

"Okay, what do know about...basketball?"

"Well, we're in New York, so obviously, my favorite team are the Knicks. And you know, this may not be our best year but at the end of the day, it doesn't matter because we have Melo, and we have Phil Jackson, and that's all that counts. We shouldn't have traded J.R. Smith! And at the end of the day, you know what, it's not our best season. We have a terrible record, we're the worst in the NBA! I am at Madison Square Garden, I see all these fake fans just jumping onto bandwagons like the Heat or something like that. And you know what? That is not what a true fan is! If you're gonna be in the garden, you better represent the Knicks!"

That's where I got him, I left him speechless as we walk down the walkway and eventually reach a gazebo with lights dangling everywhere. "Does it count as a question if I ask you to dance with me?"

I start to laugh, "There's no music."

"Don't care," Lucas sticks out his hand. "Dance with me."

"This is so stupid." (start music here).
I hesitantly grab his hand. He pulled me in close and we start slow dancing. At this moment, I start to feel like a princess. All the comments about Diner Girl and all the problems I have with Lauren are all behind me.

The strands in your eyes that color them wonderful
Stop me and steal my breath
Emeralds from mountains and thrust towards the sky
Never revealing their depth
Tell me that we belong together
Dress it up with the trappings of love
I'll be captivated, I'll hang from your lips
Instead of the gallows of heartache that hang from above

Lucas spun me around and dipped me. He started to pick me up slowly, bringing me closer to him. As he tries to reach for my mask, I take a small step back. Lucas gave me a look of 'hey no problem' then bowed to me, re-offering me to dance. I could help but laugh. I grab his hand and he pulled me close to him again.

I'll be your cryin' shoulder
I'll be love suicide
I'll be better when I'm older
I'll be the greatest fan of your life

We stare into each other's eyes. I could get lost in those beautiful emeralds. "Do you, PrincetonGirl , ever want to see me after this?"

"Yes. And do you, Lucas Friar, ever want to see me after this?"

"Absolutely." Then we resume to dancing.

And rain falls angry on the tin roof
As we lie awake in my bed
You're my survival, you're my living proof
My love is alive and not dead

Tell me that we belong together
Dress it up with the trappings of love
I'll be captivated, I'll hang from your lips
Instead of the gallows of heartache that hang from above

Could this moment be any more perfect. I'm here, at this dance, disobeying my stepmom's orders, dancing with Lucas Friar, someone I've been crushing on since the 6th grade. I feel like I could do anything.

"Hey, you still have 3 more questions left."

"They can wait. This moment is to perfect to ruin."

"Are you quoting someone new?"

"Nope it's all me."

"Impressive, you should trademark it before it gets taken by someone."

"Would that someone be you?"

"Would you look at that?"

"What?"

"And there you go. You officially have one question left. Don't blow it."

A smirk lies across his face.

"I know how I can make up for it."

"How, how so Mr. Friar?" He pulls me closer to his body, embracing me even more. Holding on to me tighter as if our lives depended on it.

I never want this moment to end.

I'll be your cryin' shoulder
I'll be love suicide
I'll be better when I'm older
I'll be the greatest fan of your life

I'll be your cryin' shoulder
I'll be love suicide
I'll be better when I'm older
I'll be the greatest fan of your life

The greatest fan of your life
The greatest fan of your life

(YO IM SO FUCKING PROUD OF MYSELF. Minus the Top section, it is all times perfectly I need a round of applause).

Once the song ends, we start to lean in, getting closer and closer by the second. I could almost feel his lips brush against mine until...

"No, not here, not now."

"What's wrong?"

"I have to go. I'm late," I start to run down the walkway as I hear Lucas call after me.

"Late for what?"

"Reality."

I run into the ballroom in attempts to find Farkle. I search everywhere. I finally found him in a corner kissing... MISSY BRADFORD?! What the hell happened in here when I was gone. I start to whisper shout and hit him on the back to get his attention.
"Farkle we have to go."

Farkle pulls away from Missy. "Goodbye my love." Then we run up the stairs. I hear Lucas call after me, I would love to be with him, but I want to live to go to college.

Lucas POV

My mystery girl ran out suddenly. I chased her inside and started looking everywhere for her. As I spotted her, Zay stopped me. "Bro where were you, you missed this fight I had with this Zorro kid."

"Yeah, whatever don't care." I spotted PrincetonGirl running up the stairs. I push everyone out of my way in attempts to reach her. It was to late. I look down and see a cell phone on the ground. I check the lock screen to see if her wallpaper was her, to no avail.

The background was a grown man and woman, who I assumed were her parents. I look back up the staircase, she was completely out of sight.
