Shawn POV
Farkle and I rush Riley to the nearest Halloween and clothing store when the owner, Harold, was about to lock up. "Harold, Riley need a costume."
"Shawn, I'm closed."
"I'll give you free breakfast for a week."
Harold sighs and opens the door. "Make it a month." Then we run inside the store grabbing every costume and dress we saw. Every time Riley came out to show us, it was awful. She came out as a nun, hula dancer, grim reaper, some scary weird thing, and a knight.
"Shawn this I hopeless," Riley sighs before entering back into the dressing room. I bow my head down and notice a black mask sitting in a display case.
"Harold let me see that mask." Harold pulls out the mask and gives it to me.
"Sure, you can check out the dresses, there must be something that goes with this."
"No we'll just take the mask. Thank you." I turn to Farkle who looks at me confused. "Farkle, get Riley, we're heading to my place."
Riley POV
Farkle pulled me out of the dressing room and we head back to Shawn's car. After 5 minutes of driving, we pull into his house. He pulls me inside while Farkle stayed in the car. "Riley, I know this might sound really weird and creepy but that black mask I picked out..." I pull the mask out from the bag. "Yeah, that one. I have a dress for it."
"Yeah, that's not weird at all," I say sarcastically.
"Riley I'm serious." Shawn opens the door to his house. I sit on the couch as he goes to him room trying to find a dress. He comes back out with a big box that was still in perfect condition. Shawn turns to me and starts to talk. "This used to be your mothers. When she died, Cory had it sitting underneath this bed. When he died, I took it before Fiona or anyone noticed. It was the only thing I had left of Cory and Topanga." He lifts the box to reveal a beautiful, cranberry colored dress.
"Oh my god, it's beautiful. Shawn I can't wear this."
"Yes you are. And you are going to look as beautiful as your mom did when she wore it."
"Okay, thank you Shawn."
"No problem kiddo."
Shawn rushed me home to get my hair and makeup done. When I was done, I slipped on the dress and put on my nude heals. Farkle gave me a cap to wear to cover myself before he got inside. They dance was held at the Plaza Hotel. It had a huge ballroom that had a dance floor, drink/bar area, and a huge staircase leading down to the dance floor.
Farkle drove us I his dad's new car, driving really carefully trying not to crash. Once we arrive to the hotel, I make sure that anyone I know didn't see or recognize me. I didn't have my mask on yet. I grab Farkle by the arm before we reach the staircase. "Remember Farkle, I have to be back at the diner before 12:00."
"Okay. Give me your phone." I hand Farkle my phone, he sets an a alarm and hands me back my phone. I tuck my phone into the strap of my shoe, then skate my foot around to make sure it was secure.
"I set an alarm for 11:45. When it goes off, find me and I will take you to the diner." I nod. I can't believe this is actually happening.
Farkle POV
I turn around start to walk down the stairs. As I reach the bottom of the stairs, everyone stares at the top of the stairs in awe. "Riley, what's everyone staring at?" I realized that Riley was at the top of the steps.
