August 5

Hi! I'm Veronica. I'm 7 years old and I live in Malta. I like biking!

I was out biking when I hit a rock and went flying. My bike broke and I scraped my knee! It really hurt!

I sat on the pavement crying with my broken bike beside me when a man walked to me.

He had curly brown hair and a dark complexion, and I couldn't see his eyes clearly because I was crying. He sat next to me.

"Are you ok?"he asked.

"M-my bike's broken!"I wailed.

"Oh, I can fix that!"he said.

"You can?"I asked, peeking through my fingers.

"Yeah."he smiled. "I can upgrade it for you, too!"he said. "C'mon."

He lifted my bike with one hand and extended the other out to me. I took it and he led me down the street to a repair shop.

He opened the door, and door chimes rang. I pretty woman with caramel hair and pretty eyes walked out of the back.

"Leo, who is this?"she asked.

"Little kid who's bike broke. I offered to fix it for her. Sunshine, she's hurt too, can you take care of that?"he asked.

She nodded understandingly. "Come here."she said, bending to my height and holding out a hand.

I took it and she brought me to a living room at the top of the shop. She dressed my wound and patched it up.

"Th-th-thank you."I sniffled.

"What's your name?"she asked kindly.

"Vewonica."I said.

"You want a cookie?"she said, nodding to a cookoe jar. I nodded.

"Here."she said, handing me a cookie.

We were eating while she fussed over me, when 'Leo' stuck his head in.

"All done."he smiled.

My eyes lit up. "Can I see?"I asked.

They brought me to my bike, and it looked as good as new. It also had a basket! And it was pink!

"Thank you!!"I shouted, giving him a hug. He was surprised, but he patted my back.

"Go on now."said the nice lady. "Maybe your mom's looking for you."

"Thank you."I say again.

"You can drop by anytime for cookies."she assured me. I smiled.

"And if your family needs anything fixed, you can always come here!"added Leo.

"Ok."I smiled, and pedaled away.

Aww, I imagined this in my head and it was so cute! If you didn't figure it out, Leo and Calypso decided to remain in Malta. Leo wasn't sure if he wanted to return to CHB and was nervous if they would accept Calypso, considering Percy had landed on Ogygia as well.
