I put the groceries down on the kitchen counter as I entered the lifeless cold apartment which was illuminated by the light from the window. I went into my room changing from my clothes into shorts and a top. I went into the living room and sat down on the big sofa as I put on the tv looking for a suitable show to watched with a huff I put off the tv due to the lack of being interesting. I was bored and I just didn't know what to do as jaz went out with Xavier tonight with the promise of spending a day together before she leaves for Dublin.
I picked up my phone looking for who to talk to and I decided to call harry. I could see myself getting even more nervous as my phone was dialling his number.
"Hello Marilyn." He picked up with his silk like smooth voice which made me even more nervous and I don't know why I was.
"Hello Kian , I just wanted to see how you were doing." I said doing a poor job of concealing my nervousness.
"Oh I'm fine I am just at home bored out of mind."
"Me too maybe you could come over." I replied without even thinking.
"Yeah text me the address I will be over in a few minutes, bye."
"Okay, bye." I hung up.
I dropped my phone on the counter and went into my room changing into something more appropriate which was my floral playsuit. I touched up my hair and applied some lip balm I smoothened out my dress before heading over to the living room checking if everything was in order. once I was satisfied with everything I sat down waiting for Kian as I heard a faint knock on the door I got up and opened the door to a very hot kian in dark jeans and a shirt.
"Hi." I greeted allowing him to enter the apartment.
"Hi you look really nice."
I smiled while complementing him too.
I sat down on the couch thinking of what to say to him as I was about to pass out. I was a real cluster of nerves watching his lanky frame sit beside me.
"So would you like to watch a movie or something." I asked him trying to be a good host.
"Sure."
I set up the movie and sat back down leaving a decent amount of space between us.
After a while I was getting tired so I closed my eyes as the sleep took over me making me unaware of who I was with.
"Marilyn, Marilyn." A soft voice spoke trying to wake me up from my slumber. I instantly felt bad for sleeping off while kian was here as I guessed he must have been bored from having no one to talk to.
"Oh my gosh I really am sorry for sleeping off like that." I apologised frantically, the guilt eating me up.
"Oh don't bother I slept off too guess we both needed the sleep." He joked making me chuckle lightly.
I stood up stretching out my hands before speaking.
"Well kian it was nice meeting up with you today I hope we can hang out sometime again."
"Sure." he said before hugging me and kissing me on the cheek which startled me as I wasn't expecting that.
"Bye Kian."
"Bye Marilyn." He said before exiting the apartment.
I let out a sigh of relief as I was happy he was not angry at me for sleeping during the movie. I moved into my room and plopped down on my bed thinking about what to do for spring break. I heard the door open so I went out of bed to see who it was.
"Well hello lyn I just got back from class so what should we do now?" questioned my best friend.
"Let us have a typical girls night with movies, ice cream and a good old fashioned pillow fight." I replied.
"That sounds nice lets go get changed."
I went into my room and slipped on some shorts and my cloudy top preparing myself for my awaited night with my roommate.
She had already set up everything so I thanked her and sat down on the couch beside her looking at the tv screen with a tub of ice cream which was for me and jaz held in my hand.
She sat down and we watched the movie with some remarks here and there. After the movie we talked about her and Xavier which was a couple who rarely ever fought she truly is lucky.
The topic of discussion quickly changed as Jasmine kept on telling me to get it on with kian. I quickly replied with a quick no as I only thought of him as a friend and that was all. I didn't want to rush into things yet because I just met him and he might not be interested.
Time quickly passed as me and jaz kept on talking about our lives. Soon enough I was tired so I said a quick goodnight to jasmine as I headed off to bed.
My phone buzzed lightly as I had a text.
'hope i can see you tmrw lyn gd night. x kian'
with a smile I replied him with a simple yes and went into a deep slumber dreaming about what tomorrow could hold for me.
