I stared at the reflection of myself in the mirror as I was getting ready for one of Damian's parties which he held occasionally. I wore a off shoulder black top which stopped right before my belly button and paired it with light blue skinny jeans and my grey sneakers. My hair was in two large cornrows which was done by jasmine and my makeup was light and pretty.
kian, Jasmine, Xavier and I where going to have a good time at Damian's very soon. I switched off the lights in my room and joined them in the living room.
They all complemented me including kian I replied with a quick thank you telling them they looked nice too.
Jasmine and Xavier walked in front of me and kian with their hands intertwined. We got there rather quickly as my apartment was not far from the party. As soon as we passed through the door Damian was already at the door waiting for our arrival.
"Hello Damian." I said quickly hugging him. Everybody said hello and we went. Damian led us to the kitchen where he everyone a drink. I took a quick sip out of my drink and I loved it immediately.
Jasmine had gone off somewhere with Xavier leaving me and kian alone. I sat down on a stool and kian sat right next to me.
"So Marilyn what do you like to do in your free time?"
"Well I love reading, dancing and singing."
"could you sing for me sometime?" He asked politely.
"sure, if you would like me to."
He smiled and I smiled back at him. By now my drink was already finished so I went into the kitchen to get a can of beer. By the time I got back I saw kian with another girl who seemed nice enough so I went up to meet them.
"Hi I am Diana." she said.
"Hello I am Marilyn, so I am assuming you know kian." I replied with a small smile planted on my face.
"Yes we grew up together and we happened to go to the same college."
"oh that's nice I hope we get to see each other often."
"of course well I have got to get going now so bye." she said before walking off.
kian and I talked for what seemed like forever I got to know so much about him and I was beginning to like him even more. We talked about random topics like ice cream, movies and what not. I was already tired and I just needed to sleep. I already knewthat jasmine and Xavier must have left from the text she just sent me. kian agreed it was best for us to leave now. we walked onto the street enjoying the comfortable silence. we were already at my apartment door when he pulled me closer and placed his soft, fluffy lips on my cheek. My insides twisted in a good way and I smiled shyly.
"Before you go would you like to go out on a date with me tomorrow?" He asked with a small smile on his face.
"Sure I would love to." I replied feeling all giddy and excited.
"okay be ready by 7 I will come and pick you up, bye." He said before planting a small kiss at the side of my mouth.
"Bye kian." I said once more before he turned around leaving me behind as an excited and overwhelmed girl.
I opened up the door and removed my shoes while walking into my bedroom and changing into my comfy pyjamas. I was sure to tell jasmine about what happened tomorrow as I could not contain my excitement. I closed my eyes and fell into a deep slumber.
