We went out and we started running to Granny's.
When we were able to see it I was breathless but Emma kept on running, so I made one last effort and I tried to reach her. Suddenly she fell and I took her hand; I pulled her up, but I didn't let her hand go. I looked into her eyes while she was looking into mines, I went closer to her : she smelled like cinnamon."Everything's okay?" I asked.
"Yes" she whispered. Her breath was soft against my skin. She came closer to me.
In that moment Henry came out of the restaurant "Moms! You're late!" he complained.
I let her go. I was afraid of what I was going to do, but I also felt in a new, strange way. I looked at Emma and Henry and I took my little Prince's hand.
"Sorry sweetheart...We're here now...do you want something to eat? When we go home, I could make some pancakes""Pancakes! Thanks mom!" he smiled.
Emma followed us, we should have talked, but it wouldn't have been easy...
