"HELP!" I CRY, but my throat is extremely dry that my voice came out weak. I gasp for air in an attempt to scream again, but I couldn't. Tears are endlessly falling from my eyes, and my body is shaking from fear.

Why am I going through this?

My entire body is in excruciating pain, my head is bleeding, and my clothes are ripped. Walking through these jagged, tiny rocks has rendered my bare feet numb with anguish. I just want to get away from him... I simply want to get out of here and away from this hellhole.

I have no idea where I am anymore. I have no idea where I'm going. It's dark and cold, and all I can see are the dense plants and trees that surround me. A sudden blast of chilly air brushes against my skin, sending shivers through my body that is already trembling.

Paano niya nagawa sa 'kin 'to? Paano niya nagawa 'to sa sarili niyang kadugo?

"Help!" I yell again, despite the fact that I am certain no one can hear me.

I pull my wounded and bloodied body towards the deserted road, not wanting to spend another second. I'm praying that someone will come along and help me.

"Miranda!"

Hearing his enraged growl brings my heart to a halt. Even the sound of his voice makes me tremble.

"No, no, no, no..." I keep on mumbling in horror while running away from him. Ramdam ko ang pananakit ng buong katawan ko, pero tiniis ko ito hanggang sa may makita akong liwanag na papalapit sa akin.

"Miranda!" I hear him yell again.

I run as fast as I can towards the light coming from the vehicle, not even afraid if I'll get hit by it.

"Tulong!" I yell desperately, my heart threatening to burst from my chest. If I'm going to die, I'd rather die by getting hit by a vehicle, than by his doing.

I stand in the middle of the road and wait for the car approaching me. I wave my arms in the air, begging for it to stop. But it's moving so fast that I was forced to close my eyes, anticipating for it to hit me. Luckily, I hear a loud screech — the sound of rubber against asphalt. Slowly, I open my eyes and sigh in momentary relief.

"Miss? Are you okay?" the man who emerged from the car asks, sounding worried.

"Tulong... Parang awa mo na, tulungan mo ako," I say weakly. I want to run to him, but my body feels so weak that I can't even move a muscle.

Thankfully, the man walks towards me instead. "Miss, anong nangyari sa 'yo?" he asks again.

But before I could utter a single word, my vision turns black and I collapse in his arms.
