Chapter 5, Bill

Dipper is standing at the table, eating a salad. Mabel is sitting next to him.
"I want pancakes" dipper says. I roll my eyes.
"Your a deer. Can you even have pancakes? I ask. His ears twitch. I smile.
"What?" He asks. I put my face in my hand.
"Your ears are adorable."
"My ears?" He puts his hands to his ears, and yelps.
"I have deer ears. Deer. Ears. Why?" He takes another bite if his food.
"I'm not supposed to have deer ears. I'm supposed to have human ears. And human legs." He takes another bite.
"Your also not supposed to have antlers." He looks at me.
"I have antlers!" He runs his hands through his hair. When he finds the stubs poking out of his hair, his face grows red.
"Great. I have antlers as well." He chews angrily on a tomato. I am trying so hard not to laugh. I fail. Dipper gives me the evil eye.
"Question. Why does will have an eye patch." Mabel asks.
"You need to tone down your additude" our dad yells. He backhands me. I hit the floor. I put my hands protectively in front of my face. Our dad slams me against the wall. His fingers close around my throat. Will struggles to set me free. He hits our dad in the back of the head with a wooden chair. He turns to will, dropping me. I grab at my throat, trying to catch my breath.
"How dare you!" He yells. I make a run for it. Grabbing wills hand, we run out the front door. Will is ripped from my hands. I turn around. Our dad has will by the scruff of his neck. Will is thrown into the wall. He gets up, and we run as fast as we can into the forest.
"Bill?" I snap back to reality. Dipper is in front of me. Mabel looks worried. I rub my face with my hands. He tilts his head.
"You're even curious like a deer." I say weakly. His ears flatten.
"Imma go find my brother." I say and walk off.
