The Lake In The Woods (Book 2)

Chapter 8, Dipper

I see yellow and blue in the distance. The hunter doesn't. I'm all alone, after hiding Mabel in the lake before the hunter person came out of the bushes. I try to dash to them, but the hunter shoots my leg. I scream and fall. Bill and will turns and runs in my direction. The hunter turns just as bill tackles him. Will runs over to me.
"H-hello." He says, looking at my leg. He stretches it out. Bill comes over, the hunter is nowhere to be found. He makes some tweezers and grabs my leg.
"Stay still." He says and plunges the tweezers into the hole. I scream and kick my leg. He gets a better hold and will pins me down.
"What is with you Dipper? CALM. DOWN. I can't help you if you don't calm down." I try to be less tense. why am I always tense nowadays? Pain shoots up my leg.
"Almost got it. There." He holds up a bloody bullet. I feel nauseous. He grabs a roll of gauze out of thin air, along with some disinfectant spray. He sprays my leg. I cringe. He wraps the gauze around the wound then tapes the end off.
"There. Not so bad huh?" He asks.
"Why didn't you just heal it?" I ask.
"It's not fatal. And besides, I put a little magic into it. You'll be fine in about three days." I Huff and try to stand. The pain isn't that bad. Bill wraps his arms around my waist.
"Now, why were you out here pinetree?" I sigh.
"I was looking for you." He kisses my neck and laughs.
"Well it looks like I found you first." Will goes over to the lake. Mabel pops out of the water.
"Heyooo!" She yells. Will yelps and scrambles back. Bill sighs. I reach my hand back and put it on his cheek. He gives out a small giggle.
"Hello." He whispers. I turn so I'm facing him. He puts his face real close to mine. I kiss him.
He kisses me back. I lean into him, pushing on his shoulders.
"You two are weird." Mabel calls. We both look at her. Will and Mabel are staring at us. Bill puts his hand behind my ears and scratches, making me lean into his hand. I close my eyes.
"We're just having fun." He complains. I start to purr... Weird.
"Well then." Bill says. I guess he heard it to. I smile.
"Really dipper?" Mabel asks. Bill stops. I open my eyes and frown.
"I was enjoying that." Mabel rolls her eyes.
"Weirdo." She looks at will, who is still by her.
"You should come sit by me. We can watch our brothers make out together." He looks at bill, then sits by her. My face turns red.
"We weren't making out." Bill sits on my deer back.
"Just having a little fun." He puts his arms around my chest.
"What time is it?" He asks.
"It's around noon." I reply.
