"You're still not over him, are you?" Liam whispered as he embraced me.
"No. I'm sorry I don't know why I can't just let him go," I replied in a light tone.
"Well maybe if you wrote to him it would help?" Liam suggested.
"Yeah, it might.." I trailed off in thought.Later that night I sat at the kitchen table with a notebook and my favorite pen in hand. I looked over Blue's letters, and began to write. But nothing seemed to work. I wanted to tell him about Liam, but then again I didn't want him to know. I flipped the page, and wrote a new letter, only to discover that that draft just wouldn't work for me either.
I sighed and grabbed my phone, putting it on Pandora. Fall out boy blasted through the Bluetooth speaker hooked up to my phone, and I started writing once more. Only this time, I didn't have to concentrate on the words, they just flowed from my heart into the paper.
When I was finished, I realized that instead of a letter, I had written a poem. Oh well, it seemed fitting, and I liked it.
I hummed along to the song as I read over my handy work.Dear Blue,
If I could turn back time
I would hold you tighter
Kiss you longer
Memorize every detail about you
I would listen only to your voice
And stare into your beautiful
Golden eyes
I wouldn't argue with you
And I would lace our fingers
Together
I would always let you win
Just to see that beautiful smile
And it hurts so bad
Blue
You're leaving pain in my chest
When I remember the words you
Whispered that day
The sweet lies
And the perfect kisses to perfect
The sweet lies
Maybe I'll drift away
Slow and painfully
As I watch the time tick by
Just like I did
While watching you and I.Love,
Bella"That is is really good poem, Bella," Liam said while hugging me from behind.
"Yeah?"
"Yes. I think that it gets your point across, and it helped get your emotions out in the open, so now you can begin to really get over him. Are you going to send it to him?"
"I don't think so. I think I'll continue writing to him and I'll put the letters in a shoebox under my bed."
"Bella I need to ask you something important to me," Liam whispered in my ear before lightly kissing the side of my head.
"What is it Liam?" I questioned.
"If he came back, would you leave me for him?"
"Of course not!" I exclaimed a little too loudly.
"Okay, I believe you... And I love you more than anything. Seriously, you are my everything. My world, my stars, my universe. You mean so much to me, I would never let you go if that's what you wanted. I know that you still love him, but I know that I love you more than he ever could. Bella, let me love you and don't push me away. I love you so much."
"Oh Liam I love you too, and I'm so sorry I'm putting you through all of this."
"It's okay love. It's really okay. But I think that we should figure this all out together. Actually, I was hoping maybe in a few weeks we could go for a little adventure?"
"Yeah that sounds amazing, of course I would love to go with you."I found a letter from blue, just as I expected. I refused to read it until the sky had turned black, and the stars shone gold.
Dear Bella,
I get to come home so soon. I'm thinking about coming to see you, I mean if that's what you want. I'm not sure what you want, because you never answer me. Did I hurt you that badly? Bella I'm so sorry, I was foolish. But here I am now, hoping and praying that you will respond. Bella I love you. I love you so much. I've loved you since that night that I squeezed your hand and told you how I felt while you were sleeping in my arms. I guess I should go, I'll write again soon. Stay strong my love.
Love always,
Blue
