Screams....fear...panic...fleeing
A voice in my head. The disturbing echoes of night and nightmares so real my heart stopped beating.

Robins POV:

My heart leapt from my chest before my body could. Sweat collected on my forehead. My eyes instantly searching for anything abnormal. My breaths shaky and heavy, I was like a dog painting for air on a hot summers day. I threw back the covers on my bed to give me the space I required to calm my heart and slower my breathing. The air swiftly cooling my skin. I wiped my forehead with a nervous hand and exhaled deeply closing my eyes for a brief time. I immediately noticed the light of the silver, delicate moon as it's says illuminated my room. When I had regained my normal functions I set my head to my comfortable memory foam pillow as I felt my eyelids become heavy again, the blissful sensation of my body beginning to switch off for a while and as my breathing steadied out I was slowly drifting back I sleep. Suddenly, however, I was reawoken to the sound of violent banging occurring downstairs. 'Who's could that be at this time?'. I thought to myself, glancing over at my digital alarm click that read
3:00. I stretched my legs giving me a relief as I once again tossed the blankets back as they fluttered away gently. I walked cautiously to my door grabbing the handle and opening my door. Revealing the corridor towards the stairs a few metres away was Terra's room. I was struck by curiosity and overwhelming surprise as I saw her blonde hair falling over her shoulders. She stood inches out of her doorway with her eyes glancing toward me every now and again as I quietly and slowly approached her room. The worry of floorboards creaking consuming my thoughts. Mainly her eyes were fixed in the stairs as we listened for foot steps of our Mom. And the long awaited sound of the front door opening. "Whats going on?". I asked my sister however she gushed at my words and continues I listen downstairs. When a thundering Patten of hanging and kicking was unleashed on our door. We jumped back at th sudden noise and immediately ran down the stairs. Searching for our Mom we eventually reached the kitchen and were shocked when ee locked eyes eith Mom. Her face was pale and petrified eyes stared back at us. She signaled for us to join her side and in doing so sge protectively pushed us behind her. Tears began to prick in Terra's eyes as the unknown threat behind the door fell short of been on the inside of it. "Mom,Mom!" Terra bellowed in distress. Even though it was part of my power. I sensed her heartbeat going miles per hour as it pumped, panicking in her chest. Every beat becoming more louder and faster paced than the one before. Her blonde, fine strands of hair flying in countless directions. Tears streaming down her delicate cheeks, her fragile blue oceanic eyes shining with a glimmer of fear. The type of fear a person dreads. When the sickly feeling in the pit of their stomach crawls into their throat. When every muscle intensifies with worry , shock and horror. I snatched her by the arms and began pulling her back covering her mouth with my pale hands and whispering hushes into her ear, attempting to silence her. Volatile banging echoed aggressively on the dark green painted door. The door itself moved inward with every single hit it took. The sheer force one almost too much for the simple door to withstand for a large period of time.

"Mom, what's going on?!". I whispered loudly, hoping to force some kind of answer out of her. My voice filled with despertion to escape this slow agonising nightmare.
When she turned to see the scared and overwhelming sadness in our faces. She instantly out a hand on one of our shoulders and forced us back without hesitation towards the back door. Her instinct to ensure we were kept safe.Wiping the tears away of Terra's young confused eyes, our Mom smiled strongly through gritted teeth. Yet the distraught force in her eyes seemed to signal great upset. "Robin, Terra you need to leave right now, you have to go and whatever happens...". She trailed off at a dramatic kick to the front door, spinning around her head to check the entrance she saw that the old door remained standing. But not for long.

"Mom, what are you saying?". I pressed as Terra continued to sob uncontrollably. Mother gave us both a strong hopefull stare before replying." Don't look back ok, run, run and never stop it's not safe here but you have to go. I love you". She whispered, cuddling mine and Terra's face with warm, generous palms. Likely hands that we would never touch again. A beatiful, brave smile forcing itself onto her lips.Enfolding me and Terra both into a brief last embrace. I pulled Terra's face deep into his chest as I allowed my fingers to grip the handle behind me;cold and unused. "Mom, there's still time, come with us!". I begged, pleading with desperate blue eyes. My sister turned her head once again facing her mother. Sharing the same sad gaze as the true horror of the situation was becoming equally as real and equally as violent as it could.
"Mom no!". Terra yelled, her emotions a storm of anger and sadness. Like a wild sea that saw no boundries. Moving backwards through the door as I began to open it quietly and once more hushed Terra. Once more he saw the pained unbearable sparkle in his mother's eyes as he did so. "I have to stay". Were the last words he heard as he could hear the crackling rage of the front door as it finally give way to the intruders. Time was against them.
