Cosmodrome: Earth.Earth...once a planet full of life. Now it was deserted.
Centuries ago the Traveler, an alien life form in the shape of a planet, appeared in the Milky Way galaxy. It enabled mankind to colonise neighbouring planets. Mars, Venus, the moon. They all became new homes to humans. It was an era of prosperity for all of human kind. It was named...'The Golden Age'.Unfortunately, this time would not last long. For the Traveler had an ancient enemy. A darkness that had Pursued it across the black gulfs of space.
The Golden age ended and almost all of humanity were wiped out. Hostile aliens took control of the planets that mankind had left behind. The fallen seized control of almost all earth and the surface of the moon. The Hive claimed the underbelly of the moon. The vex controlled most of Venus and turned Mercury into a machine planet. The ruthless Cabal took control of the desert planet Mars.
All hope seemed lost. Then, in its last attempt at saving humanity, the Traveler created the Ghosts. A small spark of the traveler's light. There job was to hunt out fallen warriors of the past and revive them so they could protect the last city of humanity. And like that...the guardians were born.
Warriors who could wield the Traveler's light as a weapon.
________________________________A small Ghost flew around the deserted highway. Decaying cars littered the cracked roads. The Ghost turned around to see a group of Fallen in the distance. It quickly turned back to its original direction and began flying forward. Every now and then the Ghost would scan a dead body or a pile of rubble.
The Ghost eventually stopped and hovered in one spot.
"Could it be?" It asked in a male voice. His robotic eye glowed brighter and its diamond like body split into individual segments to form a sphere. "There you are" he said as light poured from its eye.________________________________
All he could see was darkness. He felt like he had been in this dark limbo for days but at the same time it felt like years.
He knew he had been stuck here for a few centuries. He knew there was no getting out.
He knew he was dead.
He couldn't recall how he died but he knew he had.Suddenly the darkness began to break away. A powerful yet soothing light flooded the entire space and the original black limbo was now a white purgatory.
"Guardian? Guardian. Eyes up Guardian" a robotic male voice said.
He slowly forced his eyes open and was immediately greeted with a small floating white diamond.
"Thank goodness, you don't know how long I've been looking for you" it said. "I'm a Ghost, actually now I'm your Ghost...you've been dead a long so your going to see some things you won't understand." Ghost said as a load roar echoed through the air. "It isn't safe here, we need to get inside" he suddenly vanished causing the Guardian to look around in confusion before Ghost spoke once more. "Don't worry, I'm still here...follow the marker". The Guardian followed the command.________________________________

Tower: Earth (Last city)"You know I spent centuries looking for you" Ghost said hovering slightly above his Guardians shoulder "I was about ready to give up all together..but then I found you...and When I look at you now, it makes me glad I kept looking"
The warlock named Veneficus smiled at him. A few days after being revived, Ghost had been able to discover a bit about the warlocks past. This included a first name. To others he was simply known as Vene. He always found it ironic that his name meant 'Warlock' in Latin."I know...think about all our achievements" Vene said "We destroyed the black heart, We saved the Traveler, we killed a God, we captured Skolas and killed Oryx ,the Taken King himself."
"Yeah. We have done so much..." Ghost said chuckling.
"Though we didn't do it alone..." Vene said as he looked at the hunter and Titan who were climbing onto the roof.
"Hey Vene, you're up early " the robotic hunter said.
"It's the two year anniversary of my rebirth" Vene chuckled "wanted to have some quality time with Ghost".
The Titan chuckled
"We understand..." She said smiling.Vene's teammates were some of the deadliest Guardians to ever live.
The hunter was an Exo male named Night. He had earned the name when he wore an armour set that sent a massive gathering of Fallen running and screaming. He was a literal nightmare. The Titan was an awoken female named Cleo. Despite her naive behaviour and kind personality, she is a force to be reckoned with. Her greatest achievement was taking down a horde of Hive by herself.
The three had met when they were on earth. They helped each other out until they reached the end of the mission. The vanguard saw how well the three worked together and decided to bring them together. They ended up forming a team after receiving praise from Ikora and Zavala. (And an 'inspirational' speech from Cayde).
The three had risen to the top and were considered one of the main fire-teams.
They were highly respected by the speaker himself and even got personal messages from the traveler. (Through the speaker of course).Vene stood up and walked towards his teammates.
"You don't usually interrupt me when I'm on the roof...did something happen?"
Cleo shifted into her 'soldier' mode and stood straight "the vanguard have summoned us...we need to report to them immediately..."
"What's so important?" Vene asked curiously.
Cleo stared at him for a moment before answering "it's the Taken..." She said slowly and quietly.Upon hear the name that belong to the ghost like aliens, Vene clenched his fist. A scowl on his face. His shotgun appeared in his back along with his hand cannon and Void Edge.
