Author's Note:

I have been working on this for ages! I had some SERIOUS writer-block but I'm back now so let's just carry on with this!

It's been 4 months since Pete left. He was here every second day for a psych rep but it's not the same. Now the doctors are being more lenient with him and it's only once a month he has to show up. He does still come to see me but it's less frequently. I hadn't seen him in 4 weeks. I walked up to my room after walking arounbd in the garden with Alba and heard someone singing and playing guitar on the inside. "Where is your boy tonight? I hope he is a gentleman, And maybe he won't find out what I know, You were the last good thing about this part of town." The voice was unmistakable. I ran into the room and locked the door, surveying the area. I looked over at the desk and saw Pete sitting in the black chair, smiling up at me. He propped up the guitar very quickly as I wrapped my arms around his neck and squealed with excitement. He was slightly taken aback at first but within 4 seconds his arms were wrapping me in a warm embrace. "Hey Bella." he said in a content fashion.

"I missed you so much!" I said, wiping away the tears of joy that were going down my face. "Why didn't you come sooner?"

"I tried, god knows I tried, but my mom said if I came back, the voices might too."

"Bullshit! Anyway; what'd the psych say?" I asked; eager to know what's happened in his mind the past three weeks.

"Nothing really; just that I might need a larger dose of Ativan." He sighed. Pete was bullied because of his fashion choices and music taste, so he completely re-invented his look. Instead of the emo fringe and the red dye it was cut short and spiked up slightly. He wore no eyeliner and tried to brighten up his look with some bright red trousers and a light blue top; paired with a black zip hoodie and a pair of black trainers with white laces. He still wore his pair of dogtags and I still wore mine, he said no matter how much shit he went through he wouldn't take them off. He also had two keys around his neck on a much larger chain and he gave me two sets of locks about a month ago. The keys fit the locks perfectly. "I have a surprise for you." he taunted me.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Do you still love me?"

"Don't be stupid, you know I love you."

"Then you're going to be ecstatic about this."

"Pete, stop stalling and tell me." I instructed.

"Okay, my mom wants me to get a part-time job in the summer."

"Okay."

"Basically, Patrick said it's a long shot but I might get an internship here. Who better to look after 'crazy' people than an ex-mentalist?"

"What?! Pete, that's amazing! How are you gonna make sure you get the job?"

"I can be a persuasive bastard when I want to be. By using the right set of buzzwords, I can wrap Mikey around my finger. And we know how easy it is for Mikey to manipulate Gerard. " I nodded and he gave me an unbelievable smile. "So, are you excited?"

"Excited is an understatement, but I thought patient-nurse relationships weren't allowed..."

"Actually, since it's only an internship; I don't actually get paid, therefore it's not a real job. Therefore, it doesn't count and I get to see you every single day for 3 months." his smile grew wider as I pecked his lips. We hugged and I buried my face in his neck.

"I am literally going to be counting down the days until you come back to me!" I smiled.

"You think you're gonna be the only one that's going to be counting down the days?" He laughed. We stayed in silence for a while, a comfortable silence. "Hey, Bella?"
