-Jellal P. O. V.-
"So, do you have a plan?"
I sighed as I looked at Meredy. "Don't I always?"
"I don't think you had a plan for getting across that river, earlier." Erik smugly brought up.
I looked back at him. "Hey, we got across. No animals were in that tree. And there wasn't a better idea."
Erik let out a small laugh. "Well, I guess you're right."
"Anyway, what's the plan? I'm itching to take these guys out already." Sorano groaned.
I looked at the paper in my hand.
We were on a mission to destroy the dark guild known as "Twisted Wings." They recently have been terrorizing a nearby town. Reports say that they are exclusively made of takeover mages. We captured one earlier, who was in the middle of harassing a man and his daughter in the town. We, and by we I mean Sorano, forced the location of the guild out of him, as well as a bit more information about them.
Their master is known as Karasu Tsubasa. According to the guy we interrogated, he had led the guild since last year, which is when they started attacking the town. He is cruel man, and deserves some punishment. The guild member also told us that he may have ties to Zeref. If he is telling the truth, then we must stop this guild at all costs.
The paper in my hand had three bits of information. The first was the direction we got out of that guy. The second was my strategy and notes about the guild I had taken down while we hunted it.
The third was a pointless drawing of a cat that Meredy drew in the corner because she was bored during the interrogation.
"Jellal, your plan sucks." Erik said, suddenly.
"Shut up, Erik."
Stupid mind reading.
I stopped walking as we stood in front of the guild doors. I turned around and faced everyone.
"Before I tell you the plan, someone wake up Macbeth."
Sorano groaned and flicked the man in the forehead, jolting him awake.
"Okay. Now here's the plan."
-Five minutes later-
-Third Person P. O. V.-
Everyone inside of Twisted Wings was talking. Well, more like arguing quietly. Their master was sleeping, and only a fool would wake him.
That, or the guys about to burst through the front door.
The guild doors burst open and seven people stood there, most looking serious, minus the tallest man, whose smile complimented his orange mustache.
"We'd like to speak with the guy in charge." Jellal said, calmly, to the members of Twisted Wings.
Without hesitation, each member used their takeover magic to turn partly into an animal and charged at the intruders. Most being some type of fighting predator, like a lion, tiger, or bear. A few picked more strategic methods, such as one trio of girls who turned into cheetahs and dashed all over the place, or the guy who became a llama, nature's greatest warrior.
Then there was one retard who picked a zebra for whatever reason. He wasn't Chris Rock, so he wasn't going to win as a zebra.
Crime Sorciere took into action.
Sawyer used his Slowing Magic and easily took down the Cheetah Girls.
Richard used his Earth magic and took out the zebra guy within ten seconds.
Sorano wiped out the llama in a literal flash.
Macbeth, Meredy, Erik, and Jellal also wiped out the rest of the members.
After each member was beaten, Jellal looked at Richard. "Richard, where's the master?"
Before Richard could use Heaven's Eye, a voice rung out into the guild.
"Do you know what they call a group of crows?"
The members of Crime Sorciere looked up to the second floor of the guild to see a man in a black suit. His arms were replaced with black crow wings and his feet were talons. This must be Karasu Tsubasa.
"A group of crows is called a murder. I'm a one man murder." His voice was confident, cocky, and his grin was similar to that of Bacchus's from the Grand Magic Games.
"I'd like to ask you about Zeref." Jellal spoke calmly.
Karasu laughed. "You care about that man? Ha! You are all blinded by his influence! To surpass a god like him, you must soar free through the sky like a bird! You must care about nothing but yourself! You-"
Karasu was interrupted by Erik delivering a quick punch to the back of his head. During his arrogant speech, he took the time to sneak upstairs. He could hear his thoughts, and they were all clouded with idiotic ideas.
"Shut up, bird brain." Erik said, walking back downstairs. He stepped over the fallen master and the other members.
As they all lie unconscious on the ground, Jellal walks outside, and takes a small red lacrima out of his pocket. And threw it up into the sky. It burst into a fireworks-like ball, then a smaller light flew in a direction, leaving a red smoke trail behind it.
The Magic Council calls these things Sorciere Flares. Jellal, Meredy, and Ultear made them, when she was still with them, as a means to deliver the criminals to the council without having to face them themselves.
"Now, let me get my answers." Jellal walked back over and picked Karasu up by the collar. "What do you know about Zeref."
Karasu, still beaten, still grinned weakly. "You're blinded, kid. Zeref's a lost cause. You can't kill him, only awaken him."
"Just answer the question, Feathers."
He chuckled, softly. "There's a dark guild in the north. Word says that they are the closest to awakening Zeref since that stupid Tower of Heaven disaster."
Jellal's hand tensed up at the memory of his past.
"They are called Zenmen Hakai. You'll never beat them. They have Fiore's strongest ice-make wizard! Their master is rumored to be able to kill a man before he can snap his fingers! You have no healing magic, clearly, so you'll never even make it past their requip mage. You want to know more? Find it yourself, boy."
Jellal threw the man back down onto the floor and started walking away.
"You'll never stop Zeref you know."
Jellal paused for a moment.
"He's too strong. You're only fooling yourselves if you think you can beat him."
Jellal resisted the urge to go back and punch the man.
"Once you've fallen, you can't get back up, no matter how hard you try. You can't fly with a twisted wing."
"I'm going to redeem myself. We all will."
Jellal and the other members of Crime Sorciere walked out of the guild, leaving the beaten man behind.
Jellal thought to himself. "I'll redeem myself... For her..."
Erik just smiled and mumbled to himself.
"Thank you mind reading."
