*10:15 a.m.*

"Thank you for shopping at Footlocker. Come back soon." I finished up with a customer. I was about to go on break when my boss called me to the back.

"Yes sir?" I walked in.

"Ahh. Ms. James. Sit." Dog commands? Really? I stood.

"No? Ok." He stood up. "Umm. We want to know if you could work night shifts."

"I don't know about that Mr. J. I'm so used to morning shifts and I need my nights. You know it's summer."

"Ok." He rubs his chin and paces. "Well, we'll find someone I guess." I nod and walk out. I went to the food court and got some wings and fries.

*After Work*

I walked in and plopped on the couch. I decided to try and call Goofy. She still didn't answer. She usually gets over this by now. This is deeper. I call her mom.

"Hello?" She answers.

"Hey, Mama. How are you?"

"Hi, Avianne. I'm fine."

"That's good. Um... Is Goofy there?"

"She is. Why don't you come over."

"Yes ma'am. I'll be over in a few." I start up the stairs.

"Ok." She hung up. I change out of my work clothes and head to Goofy's. I knocked on the door.

"I'm Comin'." I heard Goofy say. I covered the peep hole. She opened it and saw it was me then started to close the door but I stopped it with my hand.

"Goofy, can we please talk?" She rolls her eyes and walks to her room. I close the door and follow her. She sits on her bed.

"Goof, why are you so mad?" I lean against her dresser in front of her.

"You know why." She didn't look at me.

"That's not why." She looks at me. "Anytime I call you that, you mad for like a hour then we bffs again."

"You know I'on want you calling me that."

"Goofy, it slipped. I'm sorry. Ok?" I semi yelled. "But this is deeper. What is it?" She put her head in her hands.

"My hormones are going crazy and I've been overreacting to everything."

"That time of the month?" I asked. She shook her head.

"Well I don't kn-," She looked at me with tears in her eyes. "No, Goof." I say putting my hand over my mouth and I stand up straight. She nodded her head and started crying. I pulled her into a hug.

"Goof." Her mom knocked.

"Not right now, mama."

"Does she know?" I asked. She shook her head and cried some more.

Just in case you haven't figured it out yet, Goofy's pregnant... I just... I don't- I don't know what to say .............. Wow.

"Goof." I look at her and wipe her tears. "I got you."

"Thank you. You think I should tell ha'?" She asked referring to her mama.

"How far along are-,"

"3 weeks."

"You're 3 weeks and you didn't-,"

"I was gonna tell you yesterday until you made me mad."

"I'm sorry, Goof." My phone rang. "Do you mind if I take this?" I asked her.
