Chapter 10

Avianne's POV

Shortly after everything blew up with my parents, I talked to my mom and she basically told me she was thinking about me living with her. I just think it's not fair. I know she's trying to look out for me but I don't think she understands that I've already been taking care of myself. I don't even think she sees that she may be potentially stripping away my life from me. But I'm not gonna lie, I'm not going.

"Ciara!" I yelled as me and Goofy walked into my house.

"Avianne! Can't Ciara stay with you so you don't leave?" Goofy at this point was grasping for every reason for me to stay. And honestly, so was I.

"No she has to go back to school. I'm surprised she's been here for this long."

"Hey I thought y'all were at goofy's planning the reveal." Ciara said to us as she came down the stairs tying her robe.

"We were but I honestly wanted to get away from it all for a little bit. Is Ms. Shay really gonna take Avianne?" Goofy asked Ciara as we all sat in the living room.

"I mean that's what she's saying but I know Avianne not going for that."

"What if she makes me tho?"

"Why don't you just tell her you'll stay with Goofy?"

I don't know why me and goofy didn't think of that. Ciara was a genius.

"That's it! I just tell ma that I'm staying with Goofy and keep living here."

"Well I meant to actually stay with her but that's cool too I guess. So who knows the gender of the baby anddd can I know?" Me and Goofy laughed as Ciara tried to change the subject.

"My mama is the only one that knows and ya'll will find out at the gender reveal."

"I'm surprised Avianne don't know as much as she been over there helping."

"Hey maybe I do maybe I don't." I said jokingly making Goofy punch my arm. "OW!"

"You better not know." She said as me and Ciara laughed.

"Well y'all have fun down here. My man's upstairs." Ciara got up and went up the stairs and me and Goofy looked at each other.

Day of The Gender Reveal

"Where is King?? He was supposed to be here 30 minutes ago." I asked goofy as she was picking up food from off the table.

"Oh he said he was waiting on his mama cause she was taking forever. They on the way tho." I nodded my head and went to make sure everything was set up and ready to go.

I was so excited for the reveal. I know I joked about the baby being a girl but I really am Team girl. I loved the thought of helping Goofy raise a mini her.

"Hey, yall." I greeted Daniel and Ciara as they walked in with their girlfriend and boyfriend. "It's food and games and stuff outside."

"Where's the mammy? I got something to give her." Ciara asked as she looked around.

"Oh she's out back too."

Eventually King and his mama showed up too. A lot of both of their families were there and you could really feel the love and the support.

Goofy's POV

I honestly was so overwhelmed with joy and love for everyone who came out to support me. I was having the most fun I had had all summer and it was great. It was even better that King and I had been on the best of terms recently. I wanted everything to stay just like this.
