Dan walked in and I shut the door behind him. "I've heard I'm stay?" He asked, "or, no? It's cool if I'm not, your sister just said so, I don't know."
"No. Ummm, yeah. I have a bedroom set up." I said and walked with Dan up to the room. "Ummm, I'll be back in a few. There's food in the fridge, but don't trash anything, please."
"Okay." I left Dan in the room and went to mine and went ghost. I intangible and flew through the wall and around the city. I flew around for a while and flew back home, but not going inside. I landed on the roof and looked at the stars.
I was outside for about a good hour until I went back inside. I went through my wall and changed back to normal. I changed into PJ's and walked downstairs, to find something to eat. I got downstairs and saw Dan still up. He was at the dinning table, books and paper across it.
"Hey." Dan jumped and looked at me. "Sorry." I laughed.
"It's fine. I thought you went to bed?"
"I though the same for you."
"Yeah. I have to study for history. I just don't get any of this." He put his elbows on the table and his head in his hands.
"Hey." I walked over and sat next to him, "do you want help?" Dan lifted his head up and looked at me. "I can, if you want." He nodded and moved over so I could see what he was working on.
"Before you got here we got assigned a certain event from US history, and we have to do a presentation on it. With or without a partner. I got WW2."
"So, what do you need help with then?" I asked and thought about what he said, about not having a partner. "Do you, have a partner?"
"No." He sighed, "everyone thinks I'll make them do all the work and take all the credit for it." I looked at him, asking if he would. "No. I'd never do that. People just think that because I'm on the football team."
"If you want, I could help and, be your partner."
"Really?" He smiled and his face lit up, and I nodded. "Thanks."
"But," I closed the books and looked at him, "we can work on it tomorrow. Let's go to bed. It's 10 o'clock." He nodded and we walked upstairs to our rooms. Me in mine and Dan in the guest. I lay in my bed, staring at my ceiling, trying to fall asleep. "It's weird not having Jazz here." I said to myself, before falling asleep.
