I sat there bewildered, facing you,

As the boat cruised through the turquoise blue.

The night sky merged with the water,

But all I could feel was you getting closer.

It was a perfect evening.

The moonlight reflecting on the water, glistening.

But that night there were two moons,

And one of them was between your fingers.

"Will you marry me?" you said and your smile lingers

And then in a few, but not too soon.

The dark blue sky, was inked with a deep orange dye.

The lanterns gleam and glowed.

The piercing cold night eloped.

Distant lights looked like fluttering fire flies

And they reflected in your beautiful eyes.

My palm fits in yours just right.

And we sat like that through this magical night.
