Tino sat up in his bed with Hana and Berwald by his side. He was eating soup trying to get away from Hana who jumped up on his tray.

"Hana stoooop." Tino whined.

Berwald reached over and tried to hold the curious puppy. Tino went back to his soup trying to eat it as fast as he could before the puppy got loose. He put the cup and tray down and reached his hands to the sky.

"Done!" He yelled.

Berwald stood up letting the pup go before taking the tray. He headed to the door only to be a bit startled by the sudden knock. He opened the door to see the king waiting for Berwald to move aside. He came in and sat where Berwald had just left. Ber didn't bother staying, he took the tray away and let the king talk to his son. The king had a big smile on his face and tino just tilted his head like a confused puppy.

"Tino, I have to go to Denmark for a little bit, will you be alright on your own?" He asked.

The little Finnish Prince nodded. "Berwald will be here, I'll be okay!"

The king smiled as if he had said something silly.

"You're right! Then I'll be off, you behave Tino." He snickered.

"M-me?" The little prince asked a bit shocked. "I won't get in trouble!" He said trying to reassure his father.

The king let out a drum like laugh the shook his beard.

"I believe you." He said.

He kissed the young princes forehead before leaving out the door and letting Berwald back in.

"Take care of him Berwald, I'll be back in 7 days." The king said patting the tall mans shoulder. "See you."

Berwald looked at Tino who looked a bit confused and excited.

"7 days." He asked the little prince.

"He's leaving to Denmark for 7 days, so it's just you and me!" The Finnish Prince said excitedly.

"Oh?"

"We should do something Ber! Something cool!" The Finnish Prince said excitedly.

"Y' mean some thin' you' aren't suppose to do." Berwald said with a questionable glare.

Tino's violet eyes darkened and he felt sad that Berwald didn't agree with it.

"Well.. Or we could just do the same things we do everyday..." He said a bit bummed out.

The Swede watched the little fins head drop.

"Or... We could go t'ke Hana for a w'lk." The Swede suggested.

Tino's eyes widened in excitement and he jumped at Berwald. Berwald was a bit surprised but kept his serious face.

"Let's go right now!" He said excitedly.

"Y're not dressed?" Berwald reminded the still PJ'd Prince.

"I'll get dressed!" He said excitedly.

Tino got up and ran to his closet pulling out some clothes and watching to make sure Berwald left the room before changing. Berwald left to go find the puppy a leash leaving the prince to change.

Outside of the castle the sun was hiding behind white clouds that drifted by. But the world was still lit by its rays. Berwald helped the little prince out the back entrance to a field of grass that led to a training ground and a small path to the water.

The finish prince looked over at the training ground where he could remember watching the young Berwald train day in and day out with the king and his trainer. He could vaguely remember hearing the clashing of metal and thuds of arrows hitting targets at night as Berwald had snuck out to keep training. Tino thought he had been crazy to work so hard but now he understood that it was all because his father needed him to do so, so that the weak prince had had a guardian.

"What was your training like Ber? It must have been really hard!" Tino spoke his mind.

Berwald looked over at the training ground as they past it.

"It w's... W'rth it." The tall swede nodded.

Tino was a bit confused by the answer, he wanted to ask more but couldn't tell if the scary swede was angry or not. So he changed the subject.

"Where are we gonna take Hana?" He asked.

Berwald paused. "Where do y' wanna go?"

"Me?!" Tino thought it over. "I wanna follow the river!" He decided.

Berwald also nodded letting out a small "mhm."

The two walked the small white fluff ball of a dog down the river side. Berwald held the leash so timo could explore the land. He stared into the river as they walked and paused as he saw a small silvery fish swam threw the current.

"Oh! Berwald look!" He said excitedly.

Berwald stopped in his tracks and knelt over the prince to see the fish.

"Lil' fish." He said.

"He's so small!" Tino said shocked.

The only fish the little prince had ever really seen was in illustrations or on the dinner table. So this little fish was fascinating to him. He crouched down further and looked closer. The silvery fish looked smooth and almost soft. Tino felt like he could reach his hand in and pet it. He looked to lose and before he knew it he slipped. Thank fully Berwald was fast. He snatched the boy away from the river and pulled him up beside him. The little finish male looked up at the towering giant.

"Thanks Ber!" He said a bit shaken. "I really didn't want another bath!"

"Do y' Wanna go h'me?" The swede asked.

"N-no! It was just a little slip! Let's keep going!" Tino said quickly.

Berwald nodded and aloud Hana to lead the way. Tino stayed a bit further from the water and they kept going.
