"Hey! You kids should run if you want to live! Gay shit later, it can wait!" A voice rang to their ears, it was like an annoying alarm clock waking them from a deep slumber. Yuu's face heated more than it already is, but it wasn't because they were embarrassed, no. It was due to the person saying "gay shit later". Gay? Who's gay? Them? Okay, so, he's cool being called gay-he's homosexual after all, and he knows it because he might have liked a few guys back at school-but what about Mika? He's probably not. With that gorgeous face of his, Yuu was convinced he has a girlfriend.
I have no chance.. wait, what? Gross! That's Mika, my bestfriend!
The two of them parted in disappointment, looking as the vehicles surrounded them and the drivers never stopped hitting their horns-almost beating it up, actually-at the now half-humiliated teenagers. "Darn it.." Yuu muttered to himself, but audible enough to reach Mika's ears which hid behind his soft fluffy hair despite the loud sound of raindrops crashing to the ground and building roofs.
"C'mon, Yuu-chan." Mika whispered, grabbing Yuu's hand and squeezed it tightly as he led them back to the sidewalk, the same where Yuu was from. The disturbing noise faded, cars and other different kinds of vehicles sped by... And Mika's umbrella was crushed. Mika's hand felt so warm-it was enough for Yuu to feel less cold. Also the heat that never left his cheeks.
Yuu followed him like a little child pursuing his mother without any knowledge of where they're heading to.
"O-M-G, are they trying to make a scene? At the center of the crosswalk?"
"They sure did risked their lives to do it."
"Hey shut up they probably didn't-that's just dumb."
"Yeah. But that was really cu-"
The young woman whispering to her friend stopped once Mikaela approached with Yuu in his hand. More gossips were starting to hunt Yuu as they passed by the people. He kept his head bowed down, only looking at his feet due to his humiliation. He never wanted to look up again and see those judging eyes glaring intensely at him. It felt so weird having all the attention sent to him and Mika, but why does the other seem too chill about it? He looked calm, not a single fuck given as he only kept walking with a serious and threatening pair of cold eyes, yet said eyes immediately calm and turn lovingly whenever looking at a certain pair of green ones.
The water soon reached his scalp, causing him to shiver at the cold sensation. The blonde felt the sudden shake of the emerald eyed male's hand, looking over at the poor boy whose gently rubbing his own arm to keep warm. He perceived the meaning of this immediately, which just got him worried as he bit his lower lip that he thought it'd bleed, but gladly it did not.
His face suddenly brighten up as a small gasp escaped him, an imaginary light bulb popped out of nowhere above his head as he reached for the orange scarf that surrounded his neck and keeping it from getting exposed. Rushing, he circled the long fabric around Yuu's neck without stopping his feet from walking. After a few loops, he decided to circle it around the boy's head in a silly way, covering his right eye, nose, and mouth. He chuckled to himself, admiring how adorable his friend looks while struggling to find the other end of the scarf to remove it from his so-goddamn-cute-and-innocent face.
"Dammit, Mika! Why the hell did you do that?" He asked angrily, receiving no answer but a slight giggle from Mika. It was enough to shut him up and send him back to his space full of puzzled thoughts. The boy didn't even notice the very familiar surrounding where Mika's leading him to. He was too busy daydreaming to give himself a little amount of time to realize where he's going, his brain acting like an mp3-playing Mika's voice and soft laughs on repeat for an eternity.
