Week 4; Day 5
I walked into his room, sitting on the
bed. I dont know why I listened to him, but you know what, I damn glad I did. He walked in shutting the door. He tossed his phone beside me on the bed, causing me to look up at him, confusion written all over my face. "Call Nate. Youve got five minutes," he said, crossing his arms. I picked up the phone, swiping the screen to unlock it. I went to the key pad, typing in nates cell phone number. I held the phone up to my ear. The first ring sounded, then I heard the voice Ive been longing for. "Derek, what the f-" "nate, its me," I said, interrupting his sentence. "Karina, sis. I miss you," he said, I could hear the pain in his voice. "I miss you too. But I only have four minutes, so I need to tell you some things," I said. "I need you to get that money. Believe it or not but your not the only one suffering from not having this cash. And from losing a sister. Okay?" I said. "What do you mean?" Nate asked, "I dont have time to explain, Nathan," I sighed, pinching the bridge of my nose. "Okay. Ive got three hundred thousand so far," he said. I smiled. Derek looked at the watch on his wrist. He tapped it, signaling time was up. "Good. I love you Nate. Ive got to go, bye," I said. Derek walked over, hanging up. I stood up, hugging him. "Thank you," I sniffled. His muscly arms wrapped around my torso, hugging me back. "Your welcome baby girl," he said into my hair. My nostrils were filled with the amazing scent of his cologne. I pulled away, wiping the few tears that had fallen off of my cheek. I walked out of the room and downstairs into the kitchen.°°°°
