A Mistake

Chapter 2

Gena's POV
Matt was finishing watching "Epic Fail Videos" and I was looking at my phone when I got a text from Ellie.

Hey G! Do you know the schedule for school today?

Ever since we have been back from summer vacation our school is making us take these tests to "see what we know". Since we are taking tests in different classes, everything is not in order. Different classes at different times. I reply:

9:08- 11:57=  2nd hour
11:58- 12:33= lunch
12:34- 1:17= 1st hour
1:19- 3rd hour

Today I just have Language, P.E., and Math. I usually would be happy with that because those classes are the best,but today I'm just not feeling up to it. Ellie responds with a Smile and Thumbs Up Emoji. After that I see Matt get up and walk towards me.

"Can I go to Nathan's house? His mom says he can give me a ride to school."

Nathan and Matt are really close. It always seems that they are together. I don't mind it because it keeps Matt happy so, whatever.

"Fine. Make sure you text when you're at school."

He nods and grabs his stuff. He says bye and closes to garage door behind him. I still had 12mins till I had to go, so I just played on my phone till the time went by.

I closed the door and started walking to he other side of he street. Every morning, I either walk or get a ride with my friend Belle. He mom goes to work around the same time we leave so she offers us a ride to either school or the bus stop. As their garage opened I saw Belle smiling at me with her curly blonde hair. She was wearing a t-shirt that said "I Woke Up Like This" with jeans and converse.

"HEY GIRL FRIEND!"
"Hey Bella."

We both hug (because that's just what we do) and hop in the car. Belle's mom drops us at the bus stop and I say thanks. As we walk to the bench where we ALWAYS sit at, Belle grabs a letter from her bag and hands it to me.

"Here."

I grab the letter and opened it. It was a party invite to a sleepover.

"What is it?" I ask curiously.
"My mom said if I get my grades up, I could have a slumber party with three people and I chose you, Ellie, and Diane. It's going to be this Friday after school."
"It sounds amazing Belle."

She smiles and I smile back. Then I see a familiar face. It was Diane walking over to us with her dark curly hair bouncing while she walked. She was wearing her normal Marvel Shirt and short with converse. That girl just loves Marvel so much she would practically kill anyone who talks bad about Marvel. I guess Belle was just to excited because she just straight up ran to Diane and nearly tackled her to the ground.

"OH MY GOSH Belle, don't do that!"
"I'm sorry I'm just super excited!"

Belle hands Diane the invite. She opens it and gets just as excited as Belle was. Sometimes I think I'm the only normal one out of my friends because they both just started screaming and jumping up and down together. I knew I couldn't stop them from screaming, but they usually stopped after 10 seconds. The only problem is, they didn't stop! It wasn't until 3 mins later when Ellie arrived, they stopped.

"I'm so glad you came! These lunatics were screaming!" I pointed to the two of them.

Ellie just stood there and looked at me. She finally said something I knew she would say.

"That sucks for you." She smiles and I smile back.

Belle handed Ellie her invite and she was excited,but not as excited as Diane was. This Friday was just going to be the big four. It was going to be incredibly.
