Scene: Hedgehogs House. Sonic is on his balcony with Chip.
Chip: How about inviting her to a movie then?
Sonic: Right Chip. Can you imagine that conversation?
Chip: "Hey Amy, would you like to gah– uh, wuuh".
Sonic: Exactly. I can't help it. Every time I see her I get all clammy and I feel like fainting.
Chip: So... basically the only way you could have a normal conversation with her, is if you're blindfolded.
Sonic: Pretty much.
Chip: There is a very simple solution Sonic. It's called a cellphone, you just need her number.
Sonic: I know who'll have Amy's number!.(dials Tails's number)
Scene: Park. A crowd is gathered. Honey and Mayor Antoine are facing the crowd, with a giant statue covered with a sheet behind tchem.
Antoine: I'm sure you've outdone yourself Honey.
Honey: It was my honour. And I can't wait to meet Ladybug, I hope he'll autograph the photo I used as the inspiration for the statue.
Antoine: Oh, it's nearly time. Ladybug and Cat Noir should already be here by now.
Scene: Sonic's room. Tails and Sonic are talking.
Tails: Look we all know improv's not your bag, so just stick to this script.
Sonic: But all the teachers say I don't sound natural when I read.
Tails: Then memorize it. It's pretty simple. You can do this. Just don't improvise. Got it?
Sonic: (gasps)...Forget it! This is never gonna work.
Tails: Too late. It's dialing.
Sonic: (gasps)
Amy: (on the phone) Hey, this is Amy's voicemail. Leave a message.
Sonic: It's got a voicemail.
Tails: Leave a message! Don't improv!
Sonic: (gulp) Uhh, hello. Uh, Amy's voicemail, uh, this is Sonic, who, uh, has a message for you, of course, cause it's, uh, your phone, so, umm, heh heh heh, call me, see you later, bye! (throws the phone)
Tails: Mmmm...
Sonic: What? What did you expect me to say? "Hey, beautiful woman, this is Sonic, I'd ask you on a date to a movie, but I've got such a crazy crush on you that the only way I can talk to you without foaming at the mouth is over this stupid phone." Pretty ridiculous, right?
Phone: If you wish to hear your message again, press 1. If you wish to erase your message, press 2.
Sonic: (gasps)
Tails: Hit 2! Hit 2!
Phone: Message saved. Goodbye.
Sonic: (screams)
Tails: It's not as bad as you think.
Sonic: Hmm?
Tails: Okay, it's bad. But you are gonna have to tell her one of these days, some way or another. Think of it this way, no more secrets!
Sonic: The voicemail recorded my whole conversation.
Tails: Big deal!
Sonic: I called her "beautiful woman". She cannot be allowed to hear that message, Tails! If she does, I'll die of shame!
