Dinner time and I and starving after another boring charms lesson. I walk over to the Slytherin table and sat by Snape. He is an odd boy with greasy black hair and barely smiles.
"That Potter has got on my last nerve." I snickered. I glance at Snape for his response and found he was looking at the Gryfindor table, staring at the one and only smart-Alec, Lily Evens. She is in my potions and she is Slughorns favorite. Snape look like he was in a trance sharing at her fiery red hair.
"Snape! Snap out of it!" I shouted.
"Wait what? Is it time for class all ready?" He looked so perplexed he nearly fell of the bench
"Get a grip!" I stated"you have been looking at the back of Lily's head for the past two weeks. What wrong with you?"
"Nothing, Nothing" he said half-heartily.
Lily Evens is his neighbor and crush ever since our third year. I thought he had grown out of his childhood ways.
"Well, I got loads of homework from Slughorn and a meeting at 8:00 with McGongall." I said with a sigh.
"What's the meeting about?" mumbled Snape with his mouth full of Shepherds Pie.
"Me not being able to do magic."
"Oh."plainly said Snape
"Thanks for the pep talk, can I borrow your homework?" I said hopefully. Maybe I won't have to stay up till 1:00am to finish my homework tonight.
"Sorry Gracie" Snape said with no emotion.
"Got to go."
Snape did not even wave when I left dinner. He's one of those people that you can say all your secrets to and not care a bit about your life.On my way back to the comman room I passed the suit of amor and slapped it in the face (Slytherin tradition) as I turned a corner I could here the whimpering of a small child.
"I don't have any m-money I s-swear."
"Give over Longbottum" said a scaly voice. I ran down to corridor to find Frank Longbottum in a sweater vest under his yellow Hufflepuff robes pined up against a wall and Lucius Malfoly holding him there.
"Let him down Lucius he does not have any." I said standing a good distance away so I don't get in a fight with a fourth year.
"Why?"he said as he smirked it was like he knew if he didn't get money from a poor first year he get some from me. I never a pity issue when it comes from those innocent first years.
I tossed some of my old galleons at his feet. He let go of Frank scooped up his money and ran to dinner. I walked back over to Frank and helped him out. I have befriended Frank this year first time I meet him is when he lost his way to the Hufflepuff common room late at night and ended up in the dungeons. Thankful I got to him before a teacher did or he would have been in big trouble.
"Thanks Gracie. I'll pay you back." He said embarrassed.
"Don't bother." I said helping him pick up his books that where searched though by Malfoy.
"Oh shot it's 8:00 I missed dinner."said Frank sadly.
"No, no, no, no, McGongall!" I said as I ran those corridor.
