Chapter 35

Eartha's P. O. V

I was so happy when I found out Astraeus was my true love and I was his. "Okay, I'll tell you. The real reason I was working with Pitch was because he used to love my mother and unfortunately she did not love him back and it pushed him into darkness and anger. One night I heard screaming and a lot of it, things shattering, breaking, so I ran and what I saw broke my heart, Pitch had a dagger to my mother's throat. It was the first time that I have used my powers I was only 5 and when I was creating plants and making dirt and vines appear out of thin air, I was so frightened but more determined to help my mother. I just directed both of my palms toward him and felt a surge of energy flowing through my veins and then shooting out of my fingertips. I open my eyes and see that vines have been wrapped around his neck choking him and my mother starts crying trying to cut the vines. She cuts all the vines and my mom comes towards me trying to comfort me and telling everything is alright. He gets up and looks me with furious eyes "you will wish that would never happen, little girl because one day I will kill you and have your beautiful mother all to myself" he threatened. Just then my father comes in with many guards and tries to kill Pitch, but are just met with a cloud of dark magic. For a few years, my family was happy, there were no signs of Pitch and we had left it at that, but happiness wasn't going to last forever, someone was sure of it. My mother and father came to be ill, with a mysterious illness, that no physicians could find a treatment for, the whole kingdom was in a curtain of sadness until more suffering came and nothing was going to stop it. It was the end of a great summer day filled with festivals of fun and laughter until a dark evening touched upon Corona. I was in my room sound asleep when I heard various yells of the castle guards, I ran out of my room determined to help those in need when I saw my father and mother killing their subjects, I watched in fear as there were as the crimson blood from their wounds, body parts being spewed all around, and my parents showing no mercy for those who protected them their entire lives. Once I had come out of my state shock and came back to reality, I ran to get my little sister, scared of what might happen, she was asleep and didn't witness any of the cruel things our parents did, but we had to escape, so we fled but everywhere we went darkness followed us. Never in short life did I think that I had to kill my parents, and work for my mother's crazy stalker. But, I had to protect those I loved, innocent people can't get hurt. I later discovered that my parents were under Pitch's control manipulating their minds and hearts, and you of course now the rest'' I finished everything I had to said, everything I had been keeping in for many years to everyone and finally saying it out aloud to someone I trust felt so amazing and free. Astraeus gave me a loving look and pulled me in for a hug. ''You have to tell Mr. Disney all of this, Eartha don't feel alone we are all here to protect you, and we will always to stand with you'' I suddenly gout out of our warm embrace to realize the cold, harsh cruelty I will receive if Pitch finds out about this. But, I knew that the light side always conquers, maybe there was a way to help Pitch, maybe he can move on.
