Funeral

Ace POV

Oli and I put Rockee down for a nap and went to help the rest of the pack burn the AquaBlue's deceased. We mourned them and Lavi said a prayer to the goddess.
Then it was time to bury Holli and Oliver. Everyone mourned as Oli and Luca dug two graves. I jumped in the one Oli was digging in their family cemetery. I began to dig with him. I wish he didn't have to go through this.

Mommy... I heard my son calling for Oli.

"Yes honey? You should be in bed." Oli gently said to Rockee.

I miss Gampie and Mammie... Rockee whimpered at Oli.

"Oh baby. Its OK they joined the goddess and are watching over us." Rockee whimpered more at Oli's words.

I reached out and grabbed Rockee and held him to my chest as he whimpered. Oli watched us tears in his eyes. Oli continued to dig. We dug for the next 3 hours and by the time we were done all of us, including Rockee, were covered in dirt. I helped Oli and Rockee over the side of the hole before I jumped up and over the 6 foot ledge. We performed the funeral and layed Holli and Oliver inside of their graves.

"I love you guys so much may the Goddess accept you into her kingdom, nature. You will always be a part of DarkNight." Luca said solemnly, his head down.

We all stood there our heads down as we silently sending them our prayers. Rockee snuggled into my chest.

After the funeral ended I put Rockee to bed while Oli layer in our bed staring at the ceiling. Rockee curled into a a ball and looked up at me.

Has the Goddess accepted Mammie and Gampie? Rockee asked me.

"Of course! They were good wolves." I smiled at him and he nodded before he fell asleep.

I climbed into bed with Oli and he curled up to me and cried. I pet his hair and waited till he fell into a deep sleep. I smiled at him before I fell asleep myself.
