Hi guys!

This one- shot is based on a real event that happened to my friend's friend.

I'm not going to use their real names, and I'm going to alter it a little bit, but it was so romantic I decided to write it. But, I'm not going to upload it unless I get permission. So, if this ends up in this book, it's probably because I got permission.

I was so nervous. Grace didn't seem to sense my nervousness. I don't know how she didn't.

Why was I so nervous? Because today was the date that I was going to kiss Grace. For the first time.

For me, anyway.

It might be kinda embarrassing if it wasn't her first kiss, but it was mine.

If I could even get up the courage to do it.

So, with the secret help of Grace's friend Ruby, I planned the date. And it was today.

"It's so pretty today, Billy!" Grace exclaimed. "The sun is shining, the breeze is cool- what could be better?"

My first kiss with you, Grace. "I don't know. Nothing? Look, I see the place," I grabbed her hand and started to sprint. Partly because I needed to let put some energy.

Ruby and I planned for me to take her to ice cream and improvise after that.

I can't improvise.

"Hi. How can I help you," said a bored looking cashier.

"Strawberry one scoop please," Grace said happily.

"Umm... chocolate two scoop please?" I asked.

"Two dollars please."

I dug around in my wallet for two ones. "All I have is a five. Can I get change?"

The girl glared at me. "Three dollars change."

After we got our ice cream, we sat on a table and talked while we ate. The sun was beginning to set when we finished. "Can we walk through the sunflower field?" Grace asked.

I swallowed. I would do it now. "Yeah. Sure."

We walked through the field. When she stopped to admire an especially big one, I got an idea. I picked up a fallen flower and carefully whacked Grace on the back.

She gasped and turned around. For a minute I was scared I'd gone too far, but then she picked up her own flower and took a swing at me. She hit my arm and knocked me down.

Grace tackled me and we rolled around until I was on top of her. I helped her down and looked her in the eyes. Before I knew it, I kissed her.

I pulled away first. "I hope you know, Grace, you're my first kiss."

She smiled. "You're mine too."
