Chenelle felt her stomach rumble with hunger. She hadn't eaten breakfast due to her lateness, let alone lunch. It was cutting close to dinner by the time they arrived at Freckle Bitches, the most popular and abundant burger establishment in Stilwater. Chenelle glimpsed at her friend from the corner of her eye.
"With all this driving you got me doing, you could at least buy me something to eat," Chenelle fussed as she pulled into an empty space and shifted into park. Trinity ignored her, exiting the car and heading inside. Chenelle understood Trinity was upset about her car being stolen, but right now, Chenelle was about to blacken both her eyes in hungry rage. She drove her around basically all day long, she deserved something for that. Gas, food, anything. Driving around Stilwater was both time consuming and a major gas guzzler.
A bitter breeze made her rush inside the fast food restaurant after her friend, wishing she had brought a jacket or a cardigan. Trinity was silently fussing with a very attractive and brawny man, black do-rag tied tightly on his head under his purple Lakers cap, which matched his black tank top that was revealed once he pulled his Freckle Bitches work shirt over his head. Chenelle was disconcerted. This was the mystery man she's been hiding all this time? A chocolate, muscular man such as himself?
Chenelle focused herself elsewhere and placed an order for some good ol' greasy burgers.
"Can I get The Twins and a large soda, please?" Chenelle asked the cashier, pulling out a ten dollar bill. There goes my gas money... she sighed as she tuned into Trinity's conversation with her man, though, she was mainly focused on her food. A few minutes later, she received her bag and headed to the soda machine to fill her cup with Sprite. She skipped putting ice in her cup because she knew it's main purpose was to take up space, resulting in less soda for her. She was going to get the most out of what she spent.
Satisfied, for now, she headed back towards Trinity and her man, taking a big bite of her burger. She hoped they were ready to go like she was. Today has been a stressful day both physically and mentally. All she wanted now was a good ten hours of sleep. When she rounded the corner, Trinity was no longer inside but stood outside with one arm rested on her hip, yelling at somebody else on her phone. Her nose wrinkled as she frowned. Who was she talking to now?
"Can I have a bite?" a deep voice asked, making her nearly jump out of her skin. Chenelle peered over her shoulder to see Trinity's man staring back at her, his eyes glowing with interest. Chenelle gawked at him, taking in all his muscular glory before turning her head.
"No, I haven't eaten all day," she muffled between chews. They stood there awkwardly before Chenelle decided to sit down at a nearby booth. Trinity was going to be on the phone for another decade or so, so might as well sit down to chow down. The meaty taste of her juicy burger was enough to make her want to moan with the relief she was given in her stomach. It was rare that she'd go nearly a whole day without eating. She ate like a competitive eater, taking big bites at a time and half-chewing her food.
"Damn girl, you can eat," The man commented, leaning back in his seat with a smirk on his face. Chenelle didn't even notice he sat down in front of her, let alone watched her stuff her face. Chenelle took her time to chew fully, swallowing as she pointed a finger at him.
"I'm hungry," was all she uttered before working on eating her next burger.
"Can I get a bite?" he asked again, a smirk on his face. Chenelle sighed, putting down her burger and folding her arms.
"Why should I?" she asked, starting to get annoyed that he was disturbing her. She usually didn't mind when a man talked to her, but he was starting to get on her nerves.
